Matt Chapman’s line is set far too low, and it’s only a matter of time before that changes. He has been playing well recently, posting a .242 average with a .515 slugging percentage and a .915 OPS over his last 10 games. He has scored 6+ fantasy points in 7 of those 10 games, as well. Chapman also owns 39% hard hit and 51% fly ball rates to go along with a 91 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He gets a tough matchup against Joe Musgrove, although the latter is due for some regression as the season continues. Chapman brings 0.034 wOBA and 0.055 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching into this game, and he’s expected to hit second in the Oakland A’s lineup. This total would need to be set at a full point higher before I considered fading it tonight.

Bryce Harper has been cold over his last 10 games, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. While he has struggled to produce over that span, he owns 46% hard hit and 43% fly ball rates to go along with a 93 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. In other words, Harper has been a bit unlucky and should see a breakout soon. He gets an elite matchup against Jeremy Hellickson and his former team tonight, and Harper has had no problems showing the Washington Nationals why it was a bad idea to let him go this season. Through five games, he’s averaging 12.8 fantasy points per game against Washington. In his career, Harper owns a .285 average with a .539 slugging percentage and a .940 OPS against right-handed pitching. He’ll be playing in one of the most hitter friendly stadiums in the MLB tonight, and Harper could see his breakout come as early as tonight.

Play $25 on Matt Chapman OVER 5.5 fantasy points and Bryce Harper OVER 7.5 fantasy points to win $62.50 (2.5x)
