MLB DFS 5/1/22 – Top Stacks For Draftkings/Fanduel

Happy May! Welcome to our MLB DFS Top Stacks for 5/1/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall stacks for today’s main slate. We got a solid 9 game slate today and there are a TON of great ways to go. It is a slate very little value in pitching so hitting the right stacks should be pivotal today. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate this season — you can gain access to the Core Plays as well as our premium discord here. You can also try out the Core Plays package with a $5 day pass. Let’s get to the stacks…

St.Louis Cardinals

They are arguably in the best spot of the day. As we have seen so far, Arizona’s pitching has actually improved since last year more than I would’ve anticipated. That being said, some negative regression is inevitable and with Zach Davies on the mound it is more likely. This guy throws two pitches over 35% of the time in the Sinker and the Changeup. After that hi next thrown pitch is a cutter at a mere 7% which makes him more predictable and agianst a roster like the Cardinals, it isn’t a good thing. Nolan Arenado is back form his one game suspension and  has been hitting well to begin the year. There is a lot of power besides him in guys like  O’Neill, Goldschmidt, Edman and even Pujols. this is also the only game where the wind will be blowing out on the slate and it will be blowing at a raging 17 MPH.  It is an expensive stack and going to be hard to fit depednding on where you’re going with your starting pitchers but it could really pay off and is my personal favorite stack of the day!

Minnesota Twins

They have quietly been hitting well the majority of the year and there is a lot of value here as well. They get a dte with Josh Fleming and the Rays and he doesn’t have great showings against this current roster. His FIP is 14.87 for starters while also posting a mere 12.5% strikeout rate. Byron Buxton should be back today to add to a lineup that already has some very solid and ost importantly cheap hitters. Kyle Garlick is still only $2100 (DK) and $2400 (FD) which is just way too cheap for the upside he possesses. Jorge Polanco is still under 4k and has some power behind him along with projecting to hit 3rd in the order. A full stack here should be low owned with tons of upside and is a greatb way to go.

New York Yankees

I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing about these guys but they just continue to be put in great spots day in and day out. Another one against Kansas City and Daniel Lynch.  In his career against the current roster in New York he has a FIP of 11.91! That is insanely high and somethinig we really want to attack. Aaron Judge should be back in the lineup tonight after a night of rest and he should have a field day aginst him. It’s not just Lynch that we want to attack, the bullpen isn’t much better either. Let’s also acknowledge that 3/4 of this offense has a hart hit rate orth of 50% and it makes for a juicy matchup that could explode in a big way!

BONUS

I do think the Padres are also in a great spot today but be cautious there as there is a strong chance of rain and being postponed. I will also add that that CWS are in a good spot and have woken up hitting wise. Michael Lorenzen isn’t someone to shy away from and the entire roster is under 5k making them easier to fit in as a stack.
