MLB DFS 7/31/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

HAPPY SUNDAY! Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 7/31/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here. You can also try out the Core Plays package with a $5 day pass. Let’s get to the plays…

Pitcher

Aaron Nola sticks out above the rest on this wonderful Suday morning.  Against this current Pirates roster, he has a strikeout rate of 32%. We have seen Philly pitchers shread this team up for strikeouts all year long. Obviously, they strikeout a ton! Now one of the better arms gets to pitch against them. He makes for an easy SP1 on DK and an elite option on FD as well. For our SP2, I really like Dylan Cease. He has had mixed results this year but gets one of the better matchups on the slate. Oakland has continued to roll out a weak lineup all year after the fire sale. Dylan has been pretty consistent as of late ad on the year has a strikeout rate of nearly 34%. To go along with that, he is givng hard contact a smidge above 30%. If you’re lookig to save money on your pitchers today, there are a couple solid options. Nick Lodolo has been pretty solid relative to his price tag. He gets a decent matchup against Baltimore who besides the top of the order, have been pretty mediocre. He has a ton of strikeout upside and isn’t porjeting for a lot of ownership!

Batters

I condensed this to one because Aaron Judge does not need any explanation. He gets a matchup against a shelo of Zach Greinke and the Royals. This is a very good matchup and I wouldn’t be surprised if he doube dongs again. He is expensive but is a MUST for me today. The other guy I really like is Rowdy Tellez. His price has been going up recently as both sites have fially caught on to the fact that he is good. He has hard contact nearly half the time and has an xwOBA of .0.351.  Rowdy doesn’t strikeout a ton and gets a favorable matchup against Boston and Winckowski. I know I always say this but Fenway Park is VERY hitter friendly and the green monster allows for a lot of hits.

Bold Calls

ROWDY AND JUDGE DOUBLE DONG!
