MLB DFS 9/4/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 9/4/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here.

Pitcher

Max Fried is looking like one of the better pitchers on a slate where pitching isn’t great. The matchup is great agains the Marlins and he should do extremely well. Fried has a decent strikeout rate sitting around 22% but he also doesn’t give up a lot of hard contact. He is a bit expensive but again, there aren’t many great options today which makes him much more appealing.  For our SP2, Lucas Giolito is solid value. Priced at $8600 because he has been very inconsistent lately. We just saw Cease nearly get a no hitter last night. That shows you how streaky this Twins offense can be. Lucas still owns a hard contact rate under 40% and a strikeout rate over 25%. Making him a very solid option at his price tag.

Batters

Pete Alonso gets an elite matchup against Fedde and the Nationals. This is one of the hottest and hardest hitters in the MLB. He has hard contact nearly half the time andhs an xwOBA of .354! I expect him to go yard at least once and grab some hits to go with it. Fedde is also giving up hard contact half the time and has a terrible strikeout rate (17%) and walk rate (11%). Lars Nootbaar has been a guy I have been targeting a lot lately and for good reason. Lars has been hitting extremely well and is leading off against Stroman. Stroman has taken a major step back this year and is someone you want to attack right now.
