Slate Thoughts:

  • We finally get a good pitching slate after getting some pretty awful pitchers to choose from over the last two days. By far the most elite pitcher on the slate in the best matchup is Gerritt Cole, as he faces the Orioles. They have actually put up a good amount of runs so far, as they took the series W vs the Red Sox. However, I think the Yankees will be able to shut them down here. Cole’s elite K% vs this lineup will bode well for DFS purposes. I will be locking Cole into all my cash builds. Now, we can talk about a GPP Pitcher who I like, that has a similar ceiling to Cole. That guy is Jacob DeGrom. He faces the Red Sox who have really struggled to get anything going on offense, and their pitching staff is just awful. Like really really bad. The Mets should have enough offense to *gulp* get DeGrom that win today. He has elite numbers and has the upside to match Cole today. These are my two aces that I like currently.
  • For value, I like Andrew Heaney. He only threw 67 pitches in his first start but I expect him to stretch out to maybe 80-85 today. That should give him around 5 innings. Due to the possible restriction, the upside is limited but I think he’s safe enough to roll out in cash vs this Seattle team.
  • For bats, I’m gonna keep it simple here and just go over my top 5 stacks- Yankees, Twins, Tigers/Royals (GAME STACK), Dodgers (LOW OWNED?), Angels. I’m going to be focusing my lineups around these 5/6 teams, as I like their matchups- Yankees get Woj who isn’t stellar but he is better than most Orioles pitchers. Twins get DeLeon, who didn’t do too bad as a starter, in 8 starts he has a 3.7 ERA. However I am loving this Twins offense right now. Tigers/Royals have the battle of the southpaws, and I like the Tigers value righties who actually mash- Schoop/Cron in particular. Dodgers are the team I want to highlight- they might go underowned today and there is some bad blood after what happened last night. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another fight tonight, and we have two youngins on the mound.

That’s it from me today! I hope you guys enjoyed and please message me if you have any questions.
