  • Pretty decent 6 game slate today, it is pretty clear cut that Gerrit Cole will be chalk tonight vs the Baltimore Orioles. This will be his third start of the season vs them, and although they did touch him up for 5 runs last start, 4 of them were unearned. He hasn’t had a stellar season but I’ll go back to him tonight on a 6 game slate. This is probably my cash pitcher due to the matchup and likelihood of a win. However, there is an issue with rain. If the game were to be in jeopardy, I would look into Chris Paddack. Although I hate attacking the Giants nowadays, he is pretty affordable, and the drop off from talent from him to the next pitcher is pretty drastic. I wouldn’t mind pivoting to Paddack from Cole as the weather permits, but the next pitcher I’ll be talking about really catches my eye as well.
  • My tournament pitcher is Sonny Gray vs the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs were shut down by a Bauer outage last night, and although Gray isn’t as electric, he still has some similar stuff. I like that he’s on extra rest and he already torched the Cubs this season in a 6.2 IP, 1 hit, 1 walk, and 11 strikeout performance. This is definitely the GPP pivot for me, him and Cole have similar upside but Gray can easily have a 60 piece on FanDuel tonight, which would set you apart from the field.
  • In terms of bats, I like the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Cincinatti Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers. My top targets would be Manuel Margot, Michael Brosseau and Hunter Renfroe (Rays), Alex Verdugo, Rafael Devers and JD Martinez (Red Sox), DJ LeMahieu, Luke Voit, Aaron Hicks and Clint Frazier (Yankees), Betts/Muncy/Pollock (Dodgers).
