Bear’s Top CFB Plays 10/26/19

Week 9

Top Games to Target:

Oklahoma (-23) @ Kansas State   O/U: 57.5

Syracuse @ Florida State(-10.5)  O/U: 59

Texas (-1.5) @ TCU  O/U: 59

Auburn @ LSU (-10)  O/U: 59

Oklahoma State @ Iowa State (-10.5)  O/U: 63.5

Texas Tech (-4) @ Kansas O/U: 65

UCF (-10.5) @ Temple  O/U: 60.5

Top Tier:

QB: Jalen Hurts (OU) : No need to explain here… Lock him into your cash lineups and move on.

QB: Brock Purdy (ISU): FD 10,000 DK 7,700

Though Hurts is my top QB on the slate, Purdy rates pretty highly for me this week.  Purdy will be facing off against Oklahoma State this week.  Lets be honest, Oklahoma State has looked beyond bad on the defensive side of the ball.  OK state’s defense has allowed 32 points per game, 275 yards per game through the air and over 175 yards per game rushing.  This games O/U is set at 65 right now, which is the highest on the slate, and should be a shootout between two very talented offenses.  If I want to pivot off of Hurts, I would look no further than Purdy, which saves you 1,800 in salary on FD and 1,500 in salary on DK.

Also consider: S. Ehlinger (TEX); J. Burrow (LSU)

RB: Chuba Hubbard (OKST):  FD 10,500  DK 8,300

Hubbard is beginning to be that guy, like Hurts, that you just plug in your lineup and play him weekly.  He has had an incredible season so far.  Hubbard has over 1200 rushing yards on the season with 15 touchdowns.  He is averaging 28 attempts per game and over 180 yards per game.  His usage right now is just incredible and it is hard to get off of him in cash games.  Hubbard has a very safe floor with a 40+ point ceiling.  ISU has been pretty good vs the run this year allowing only 130 yards per game, but with the volume Hubbard receives in this offense, I do not see them slowing him down.  I want as much of this game that I can get, and you will see throughout this article a lot of my top targets on this slate come from this game.

Also consider: J. Taylor (WIS); C. Akers (FSU); T. Etienne (CLEM)

WR: Gabriel Davis (UCF): FD 9900

Gabriel and the UCF Knights will be facing Temple this weekend.  Davis has been on fire over the last few weeks and I do not see him cooling off any time soon.  UCF is running thin at RB this week, which could lead to them throwing just a little bit more than usual.  I expect Davis’s target share to stay high and for him to rack up yards, receptions and touchdowns.  Over UCF’s last 4 games, Davis has over 100 yards receiving in all 4 games and has 7 touchdowns over that 4 game span. Temple ranks towards the bottom of college football when it comes to passing defense, ranking 80th in the nation.

Also consider: J. Jefferson (LSU); C. Lamb (OU); D. Duvernay (TEX); T. Wallace (OKST)

Mid Tier:

QB: Dillon Gabriel (UCF):  FD 9100

I love Gabriel this week on FD for his price.  Again, Temple struggles stopping opposing teams passing games this year.   Gabriel has played really good this year ,especially considering he is a true freshman.  Gabriel is not much of a threat with his legs, but he has been really effective throwing the ball.  Gabriel has thrown for 2000 yards and 17 touchdowns this year.  I expect him and Davis to hook up quite a bit this week and have big games.  I love stacking the two of them in tournaments.

RB:  Breece Hall (ISU): FD 9,000 DK 6,500

Last weekend, us at DFS Karma, were able to play Hall at 6k on FD and we were rewarded quite nicely.   He went off last week for 180 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns, and also added in 73 yards receiving.  Now he is priced up, but not high enough for the upside he presents.  This week he will be taking on a poor OK state defense that allows 175 yards per game rushing.  Hall should not have any trouble finding success this weekend.  Hall is probably my top point per dollar play at the RB position this weekend.  He will be in my cash lineup on FD and DK.

Also consider: P. Williams (KAN); D. Anderson (TCU)

WR: Trishton Jackson (SYR) : FD 8,700  DK 6,900

Jackson has been playing really good football this year for Syracuse.  This week he gets a favorable match up vs FSU.  Florida State has allowed 295 yards per game through the air.  Syracuse should be able to find a good amount of success this week throwing the ball, and if this game is high scoring, like I expect it to be, Syracuse will be throwing the ball a good amount, providing Jackson with plenty of opportunities to make big plays.   Jackson has 6 touchdowns on the season and almost 600 yards.  I think he has a big time game this weekend vs. the Seminoles.

Also consider: T. Marshall (LSU); TJ Vasher (TT); M. Ffrench (Pitt)

Value Plays:

Bears Top Value Play:  RJ Turner (Texas Tech):  FD only 6,500

Turner is starting to breakout for this Texas Tech team.  Over the last two weeks Turner has compiled 18 receptions for 214 yards.  He is facing a Kansas Jayhawk defense that just surrendered 399 yards through the air to Texas, and has given up an average of 340 air yards per game.  Turner is WAY to  cheap on FD and will be locked into my lineups this weekend.

QB value:

Garrett Shrader (MSST); Max Dugan (TCU)

RB value:

Michael Carter (UNC); Otis Anderson (UCF); Kam Martin (AUB); Bentavious Thompson (UCF)- if Killins is out

WR value:

D. Jones (ISU); D. Newsome (UNC);  S. Robinson (KAN); Ronnie Bell (MICH); Taye Barber (TCU)- keep eye on injury status.
