College Football DFS FanDuel Plays for Week 14

High-Tier

Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma ($10,600)

Murray has been an elite option through 12 games this season, as he’s averaging 306.2 yards and 3.1 touchdowns on only 25.5 pass attempts per game. He’s also averaging 71.1 yards and 0.9 touchdowns per game on the ground. He gets a matchup against Texas in a game that should stay close throughout. This game also features an implied total of 79 points, and there should be no shortage of scoring here. Murray is the focal point of the Oklahoma offense, and he could be locked into another 40+ fantasy point performance this week.

Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis ($10,300)

Henderson has technically played in 12 games this season, but he has dealt with injuries and limited plays on occasion. Still, he’s averaging 141.6 yards and 1.7 touchdowns on 18.0 carries per game. Furthermore, Henderson has totaled 17 receptions for 286 yards and three touchdowns this season. UCF has struggled against the run throughout the season, allowing 211.6 rushing yards per game this season. In his only matchup against them, Henderson ran for 199 yards and one touchdown on 31 carries, and we could see something similar this week, as Memphis tries to knock off the undefeated team.

Mid-Tier

Kennedy Brooks, RB, Oklahoma ($9,400)

Brooks has been a backup for the majority of the season, but he has taken on a significantly larger role recently. He’s leading the team with 9.6 yards per carry on 103 carries. He has also totaled 63 touches over the last three weeks, recording 529 yards and six touchdowns. Texas has featured one of the best run defenses in the NCAA this season, but Brooks has simply been on another level. As mentioned above, this game features a 79 point total, and Brooks should see a fairly heavy large chunk of that success.

Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama ($8,900)

This game features a surprisingly high total, as it is set at 61.5 points, and Alabama is a -10.5 point favorite. Ruggs has been an extremely consistent option, scoring at least one touchdown in eight of his 10 games (on FanDuel) this season. Overall, Ruggs has totaled 39 receptions for 675 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2018. He’s coming off of a 5/62/2 line against Auburn, and he’s a red zone threat in every game. He still comes with a reasonable price on, specifically on FanDuel, where touchdowns are more important because of their 0.5 PPR scoring.

Low-Tier

Darriel Mack Jr., QB, UCF ($8,400)

Mack has been forced into action after a gruesome injury to McKenzie Milton. He saw limited playing time against USF and ECU this season, throwing for 150 yards on 34 pass attempts. More importantly, he ran for 171 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries. He’ll be forced into a major role in the UCF offense, and he’ll continue to feature plenty of carries in a plus matchup. UCF is a -7 point favorite in a game set at 70.5 points, and Mack is an easy play in all leagues because of his ridiculous price tag.

Corey Sutton, WR, APST ($7,900)

Sutton may go overlooked because he doesn’t play for an elite team or feature a well-known name. He has been the top receiver for Appalachian State this season, though, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Through 11 games, he’s averaging 3.1 receptions for 61.1 yards and 0.7 touchdowns per game. He’s coming off one of his best lines of the season (5/72/2), and Appalachian State could look to get him involved early this week. Sutton is a cheap source of potential touchdowns, and he’ll likely feature fairly low ownership on this slate.
