Welcome back to the NFL Daily Fantasy Recap using data science & visualizations – today the focus is all positions (excluding DST).

I decided to tackle this recap a bit differently. I am going to ask a few questions about week 4 and provide a visual to answer each question. Hopefully by answering these questions it will help recap the previous week & give insights into each position to help win in week 5.

Question 1: What players over performed most in week 4?

This viz compares the projected positional rank going into week 4 & the actual positional rank for week 4. The blue circle is the actual rank & the orange bar is the Draft Kings week 4 rank. The purpose of this viz is to identify what QBs over performed the most based on expectations going into week 4.

This viz utilizes points per $1K to find out what players provided the worst value. These are the players that under performed their Draft King’s price the most – these provided the least bang for your buck.

Question 5: What players scored the most fantasy points (PPR) in week 4?

This viz utilizes fantasy points (PPR) in week 4 to find out what players scored the most points this week.

This viz utilizes fantasy points (PPR) in week 4 to find out what players scored the least points this week.

This viz utilizes targets in week 4 to find out what players had the most opportunities to put up points. Targets is a critical stat for WRs & TEs – the more opportunities to catch the ball means more opportunities to score.

This viz utilizes yards per target in week 4 to find out what players made the most of the targets they received. High yards per target means big play potential.

Question 9: What RBs had the most yards rushing attempts in week 4?

This viz utilizes rushing attempts in week 4 to find out what players had the most opportunities to put up points. Rushing attempts is a critical stat for RBs – the more opportunities to run the ball means more opportunities to score.

Question 10: What RBs had the most yards per rushing attempt in week 4?

This viz utilizes rushing yards per attempt in week 4 to find out what players made the most of the rushing attempts they received. High yards per attempt means big play potential.

Question 11: What QBs had the most completions in week 4?

This viz utilizes completions in week 4 to find out what players had the most attempts caught. The more times a QB completes a pass – they have an opportunity to put up points.

Question 12: What QBs had the most yards per completion in week 4?

This viz utilizes yards per completion in week 4 to find out what players made the most of the their attempts. High yards per completion means big play potential.
