Joey’s Monday Night Football Showdown Throwdown 11/04

What’s up DFS Grinders to another edition of my Monday Night Football Showdown throwdown article. We have a nice divisional game between the Cowboys and the Giants. These primetime divisional games haven’t been the most exciting to watch so let’s hope the Giants can keep up with the Cowboys tonight and make it an exciting game. If not, get ready for another primetime under which we have seen 80% of these primetime games.

Vegas Totals

The Cowboys are 7 point favorites on the road against the Giants with a 48.5 game total.

Studs

Tonight’s going to be a little different than most Showdown slates. We have two powerhouse workhorse running backs to choose from. Choosing between the two could be the difference between cashing and not cashing.

Zeke vs Barkley: We have a battle between two of the best running backs in the league. Both Zeke and Barkley are the focal points of their offense and for good reason, but I give the edge to Zeke tonight based on game script and matchup. The Giants are being gashed on the ground this season and now they are going up against one of the best in the game. Zeke should have an easy time running all over this defense and is even involved in the passing game for more points. He is seeing 2 straight games with 6+ targets and 3 out of his last 4 games with 6+ targets. Barkley is still a good play. It’s hard to fade a stud RB with an amazing upside. Zeke is just the play to have when deciding between MVP and flex.

Dak Prescott: He is the QB to own tonight. Yes, the Cowboys are presumed to win so we won’t see the negative game script we love with QBs but they need to get that lead and they will be slinging it to get there. 2 out of the 3 Giants Cornerbacks grade bottom 10 in the league in PFF grade and all 3 of the Cowboys WRs have a top 10 advantage on WR/CB matchups against the Giants. All this should lead to an easy 20 point game from Dak and if we can get a Zeke receiving TD to add on to that, Dak will be the must owned play at MVP.

Middle Tier

Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup: The Giant’s defense just isn’t good so we can attack them from all sides; passing and running. Gallup and Cooper have 2 of the best matchups of the week tonight going up against DeAndre Baker and Jenoris Jankins. These two are the perfect pair to go along with Dak at MVP to stack the air.

Evan Engram: He seems like a forgotten star after starting the season with 2 20 point fantasy performances he just hasn’t been the same. He is third in the league since that time in RACR with 0.59, which I’m sure you have no idea what that means. This means he has only converted 59% of his air yards into actual yards. This leaves plenty of room for improvement. The talent is there Jones and Engram just need to get that connection going, like Eli and Engram saw week 1 against the Cowboys when he put up 116 yards and a TD on 11 catches and 14 targets.

Cheap Tier

We have a couple options to target today in the cheap tier.

Cowboys D: Daniel Jones is a rookie QB in primetime which is never really a good sign. Cowboys defense hasn’t been amazing this year but they have been able to spot the run. Saquan can’t really be shut down but he can’t be controlled and worked to be taken out of the game. Jones will have to be relied on to carry the load. Jones got away without an interception last week but has had a turnover in every single game this year with 4 of those games having multiple turnovers. This gives the Cowboys a great opportunity to take advantage here tonight.

Darius Slayton: He doesn’t see a large target share or volume but he is a deep threat and he plays every snap so the opportunity is there. He might garner some ownership with the 19 point game he saw last week, converting his 2 catches into 2 Touchdowns. I don’t care about that as much as the 84% route run share, 5 targets and 19.0 aDOT (5th in the league last week). He is a boom or bust play t help you fit the studs.

Cody Latimer: This is probably a DK only play due to his $800 price tag. If you really need to go that far down to find value Latimer is your guy. I hate to play him but he gives you a nice couple of catch floor with not much ceiling unless he somehow finds the endzone. If he gets you 5 then he pays off salary. I know some of you like to play stars and scrubs and want to fit everyone so here is your guy.

 Props

Props are what I’m known for at Karma and I’ve made my most money in the Fantasy industry playing props. It’s a safer use of your money playing “cash” type props than playing 50/50s on FD/DK for single game especially. Normally I like to play some safe props than play some GPPs on FD/DK.

You have seen all the screenshots flooding twitter what are y’all waiting for. Use promo code “REPLAY” at checkout for 20% off your subscription. That’s a huge discount

this is a 2/3 I love tonight.
