Joey’s Saturday Night Football Showdown Throwdown  -Playoff edition

Well peeps it’s officially made it to the playoff season. It’s sad the Regular season is officially over but at least we got some fun showdown slates to take advantage of. We’ve got a Saturday Night football playoff edition of tonight’s article. We’ve had a great season and now its time to kill the playoffs. I’ve been focusing more on Monkey knife fight over DFS to start the year and I’ll have my picks at the bottom of the article if you want to check them out and get in on the action.

Vegas Insight: 43.5 game total with the Cowboys as 2.5 point favorites

Weather: DOME GAME!

Studs/MVP candidates

Zeke: This is the obvious top play on the board. He’s been one of the top fantasy RBs in the league all season and he’s going up against one of the easier run defenses in the league. If that doesn’t get you on board in a single game slate add the fact that he will be getting more of a workload. I’m locking him into MVP on FD and seriously considering eating the salary an playing him at the CPT spot of DK.

Russell Wilson: We have Russ back in the playoffs, he’s been amazing this season and would have been an MVP candidate if Mahomes and Brees didn’t have such a great season. The expectations for them were so low that making the playoffs was incredible. We’ve seen the Seahawks rely on their running game a lot but the Cowboys are going to force them to throw. This game will be on Russ to win and we know he can do it. He has the second highest ceiling on the board and I think the highest floor. His rushing upside makes him the higher floor than Zeke in my opinion.

Amari Cooper: I’m not a big fan of playing him in the CPT spot because I think he is a little over priced but the matchup is great. Seahawks are one of the worst players against the number 1 WR. Since joining the cowboys Cooper is number 6 WR and number 3 in points per snap with .35 and 4th in points per touch with 3.15. He should be able to torch this Seahawks secondary and definitely the number one WR of the game.

Middle Tier

Doug Baldwin: Baldwin is the perfect stack to  Russell Wilson. Ever since Baldwin has been healthy this season he has been able to get everything he wants. He is actually tied with Cooper for points per touch this season since week 9 with 3.15. The reason I don’t like Baldwin as much as Cooper is Baldwin is playing a much tougher defense. Dallas is one of the top defenses defending WRs, but with how efficient the Seahawks have been he just needs a couple throws to go his way to pay off.

Defenses/Kickers

Cowboys D: Let’s just insert one of the best defenses in the league in a home playoff game in Jerry World. The atmosphere is going to be crazy there the noise might be too much for Wilson to handle causing turnovers. They were able to stop Brees in Dallas which really put them on the map in primetime. Wilson only has 7 interception on the season and has really cut don on the turnovers 2 interceptions in the the last 8 games. Home defenses are always the way to go and I could see the Cowboys making a statement tonight. They are a perfect pair to Zeke CPT.

Kickers are nice in domes with no weather issues but I like other value today.

Cheap Tier

Blake Jarwin: So who is ready to chase Jarwin’s 3 touchdown game. I know I am. He has 7+ targets in 3 of his last 4 games. He’s been receiving more and more snaps every week ever since week 12. Seahawks are 10th in the league vs TEs but I like the increase in volume for only 4.8k on DK. HE’s also been lining up over 40% his snaps in the slot as well which I love to see from TEs.

Ed Dickson: I’ve got a double TE for my cheap tier tonight. With how good the Cowboys been on defense they are in the bottom half in the league at defending the TE. If you are looking for some value he is only 6k on FD and 1.4k on DK. He is a great salary saver for a very top heavy contest.
