What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Top Player

Justin Fields

Projected Rank: 3rd

Jock MKT Projection: 14.1 Fantasy Points

We cap off Week 7 with a gross Monday night game featuring the Patriots as 8.5 point favorites in a 40 O/U. Despite terrible game environments and an extremely run-heavy offense, Fields has been solid overall when it comes to fantasy football. I like his chances of having another positive fantasy performance tonight. He has a pretty dominant rushing role for his position, seeing nearly 30% of the teams attempts through six weeks. Given that they are such big underdogs, Chicago should be forced into a more pass-heavy script tonight and it won’t affect his ability to run the ball. He also has been running a lot in the red-zone, with five attempts inside the 10 yard line — more than players like Austin Ekeler and Aaron Jones. Overall, he clearly has the highest ceiling in this game and that’s all I care about when buying shares. Even if the Bears get blown out, the volume should be there.

Value Player

Tyquan Thornton

Projected Rank: 9th

Jock MKT Projection: 7.24 Fantasy Points

When hunting for value on these single game slates, ceiling and big-plays are the top target and nobody embodies that tonight more than Thornton. Thornton was drafted in the second round this past season by New England, and looks primed to break-out as we head into the middle of the season. He’s only played in two games this season, but eclipsed 70% of the snaps for the first time in his career last week en route to a 4-37-1 line. There’s talk about using him a lot in the red-zone, and his TD last weekend came in the red-zone as well. On top of that potential, this guy has sub-4.30 speed and can break this game wide open on one play. He’s my favorite buy in this game, and one deep ball is all you need to secure profit.
