What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Top Player

Jaylen Waddle

Projected Rank: 6th

Jock MKT Projection: 15.52 Fantasy Points

It sounds like Waddle is going to be able to play tonight, and I think most will be scared off of him due to his injury this week. It’s been confirmed by Tua that he will target Tyreek Hill when he’s in one on one against Eli Apple — and most will be buying into that narrative on Thursday. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great spot for both receivers, but I think we are getting the better option in Waddle. He paces the team in both target share and Air Yards share, and has been much more involved in the red-zone compared to Hill. I think he’s the perfect player for this Mike McDaniel offense — which is why I aggressively targeted him in season-long leagues. I think it’s a lock that this game shoots out, and I’ll take the discount on Waddle over Hill against the Bengals.

Value Player

Trent Sherfield

Projected Rank: 15th

Jock MKT Projection: 3.7 Fantasy Points

Sherfield is a part-time player for the Dolphins who could see increased playing-time on Thursday night. Last week, Cedrick Wilson was clearly limited running a route on just two drop-backs and logging five snaps. Wilson was limited at practice all week and is listed as questionable vs the Bengals. If Wilson is going to be limited again, look for Sherfield to be the main beneficiary. Against the Bills, Sherfield was clearly third among their wideouts in snaps and routes run — out snapping River Cracraft 27-9. He earned just one target in that game but it’s important to note he has three red-zone targets on the season. We will need to wait for the news on Wilson closer to lock, but Sherfield looks like one of the top cheap fliers in tonight’s game.
