What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 9 Results

Justin Jefferson

Highest Potential Bid: $5.50

Break-Even Point: 31

Jefferson started the game out on fire before fading away later on last week. Overall, he posted 17 fantasy points, finishing 27th in the market. Each of his shared ended worth $6.17, allowing us to profit $0.67 per share.

Marquise Brown

Highest Potential Bid: $4.75

Break-Even Point: 36

On the other side of Jefferson’s game, Brown looked elite once again. He recorded 23.6 fantasy points, finishing 10th on the slate. Brown finished worth $11, profiting $6.25 per share.

After struggling the week before, we got back to our winning ways last week. We profit $6.92 per equal shares of Jefferson and Brown. Unfortunately, both ended higher than our highest potential bid, though, and you would’ve had to exceed that to profit on these players.

Week 10 Buys

Terry McLaurin

Highest Potential Bid: $6.00

Break-Even Point: 28

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the McLaurin recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $6.00 per share for McLaurin. He needs to finish 28th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of McLaurin at $6.00 and he finishes 28th in this field, I make my $6.00 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $19). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $5). It’s that simple.

Week 9 was a bit of an odd week in the top-10. James Conner, Nick Chubb, and Joe Mixon accounted for 3 of the 10 players. There were also 4 quarterbacks in the top-10. The final 3 slots were wide receivers, although the top option was DeVonta Smith, who finished seventh.

McLaurin’s enjoying a solid season for the Washington Football Team. He’s posted 43 receptions for 573 yards and 4 touchdowns on 76 targets. He’s seen mixed results throughout the season, but he’s posted 28+ fantasy points in 3 games thus far.

McLaurin gets a great matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend. They’re allowing 257.8 passing yards per game, although they’re only giving up 6.3 adjusted yards per attempt. Tampa Bay’s struggled with touchdowns, allowing 6 passing touchdowns with a 5% passing touchdown rate in 2021.

The Bucs have quietly struggled with yards after the catch, allowing 1,144 thus far. McLaurin isn’t necessarily a dominant after the catch type of player, but he is averaging 3.6 yards after the catch per reception this season.

McLaurin’s certainly seen mixed results throughout the 2021 season. He scored 28.2 fantasy points as recently as 2 games ago, though, and the Washington Football Team should be throwing throughout the game. McLaurin is the clear focal point of their passing attack, giving him elite upside against a team that doesn’t allow you to run the football.

Mike Evans

Highest Potential Bid: $6.00

Break-Even Point: 28

Evans continues to consistently produce for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Through 8 games, he owns 39 receptions for 544 yards and 8 touchdowns on 63 targets. He’s also scored 12+ fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games, including a pair of games with 30+ fantasy points.

Evans gets an elite matchup against the Washington Football Team in Week 10. Washington’s giving up a league-high 286.8 passing yards per game to go along with 8.6 adjusted yards per attempt. They’ve also allowed 20 passing touchdowns with a 6.6% passing touchdown rate.

Most importantly, the Football Team’s allowed a league-high 1,508 air yards in 2021. Evans boasts a 14.7 aDOT, recording 31.8% of Tampa Bay’s team air yards this season. He’s also turned 11 red zone targets into 7 receptions for 35 yards and 5 touchdowns this season.

Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski have already been ruled out of this game. If Chris Godwin is also ruled out, you can spend a little extra for Evans. Regardless of Godwin’s status, Evans is a great option in an elite matchup against Washington this weekend.
