Anthony Rendon hasn’t found elite success since returning from injury, as he has only scored 8+ fantasy points in two of seven games. With that being said, he owns 72% hard hit and 61% fly ball rates with a 99 MPH exit velocity since then, suggesting he could be in line for a breakout sooner rather than later. Rendon has been at his best against left-handed pitching, but it’s impossible to ignore an elite matchup against Wilmer Font tonight. He has struggled throughout his career, and Rendon is expected to hit third in one of the better projected offenses on this slate. He has also been at his best at home, where he owns a .367 average with a .714 slugging percentage and a 1.170 OPS. If you read my other articles, you know I like Rendon’s chances for a home run tonight, making this a relatively easy over for me, especially knowing he doesn’t necessarily need that to find success.

Josh Harrison is a player that I’m avoiding almost exclusively based on the matchup. He’ll face off against Justin Verlander, who has been an elite pitcher this season, although he has struggled with home runs. That has been one of his biggest issues throughout his career because of his fly ball rate, but Harrison simply doesn’t possess to power to worry about in this matchup. He enters this game with -0.023 wOBA and -0.106 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. He has also struggled to find success while healthy this season. Harrison is hitting seventh in the Detroit Tigers offense, and I don’t expect them to find much success. He needs more than one lucky single to hit the over, making this a strong under play.

Play $25 on Anthony Rendon OVER 7.5 fantasy points and Josh Harrison UNDER 4.5 fantasy points to win $62.50 (2.5x)
