Philadelphia Phillies

Zach Eflin (-180)

It’s tough to trust Zach Eflin, but he has performed well at home this season. Through 10 starts in Philadelphia, Eflin owns a 6-3 record with a 3.81 ERA. He also gets a great matchup against the Miami Marlins, who he has thrown well against this season. More importantly, Miami is 1-5, while averaging only 2.3 runs per game over the last week. The Philadelphia Phillies have also been struggling recently, but they own a 59.7% win rate at home. They also get a matchup against Wei-Yin Chen, who has been one of the worst pitchers in the MLB on the road. Through 11 road starts, Chen owns a 1-7 record with a 9.13 ERA. Chen has been throwing at a higher level over his last 10 starts, but he has still struggled on a road.

Bet 2 units on Philadelphia -1.5 RL to win 2.5 units (+125)

Detroit Tigers/Cleveland Indians

Matt Boyd (+155)

Josh Tomlin (-185)

This bet is all about the starting pitching. Matt Boyd has struggled away from home this season, posting a 3-9 record with a 5.66 ERA through 15 road starts. Tonight, he gets a team that features one of the best offenses in the MLB at home, as the Cleveland Indians are averaging 5.5 runs per game at home. The Detroit Tigers have struggled against right-handed pitching away from home, but this is a matchup they can take advantage of. Josh Tomlin will draw the start for the Indians, and he owns a 1-5 record with a 6.63 ERA 28 games (six starts). Tomlin also owns an 8.10 ERA as a starter this season. This game should feature a plethora of runs, and over/under is surprisingly low.

Bet 3 units on the Detroit/Cleveland 9o to win 2.6 units (-115)

Washington Nationals/Atlanta Braves

Max Scherzer (-160)

Kevin Gausman (+135)

This game is almost the exact opposite of the Detroit/Cleveland game. Max Scherzer and Kevin Gausman have been two dominant pitchers, while neither the Washington Nationals or Atlanta Braves possess elite offenses. Scherzer owns a 5-1 record with a 2.12 ERA over his last 10 starts. He has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of those games, while allowed no earned runs in three games. Gausman has also caught fire recently, recording a 5-3 record with a 2.98 ERA over his last nine starts. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of those games. This is a game in which we need to attack the pitchers.

Bet 3 units on the Washington/Atlanta 8u to win 2.6 units (-115)
