Boston Red Sox

David Price (+145)

This line is simply too wide for this matchup. David Price has been throwing at an elite level over his last 10 starts, recording a 6-0 record with a 1.82 ERA over that span. He has also allowed two or fewer earned runs in eight of his last nine starts, while shutting his opponent out in eight of those games. He gets a tough matchup against the New York Yankees in their home stadium, but they feature a 2-3 record over the last week. The Boston Red Sox haven’t been scoring at a high level over the last week, but they do own a 4-2 record over that span. The Red Sox also get a matchup against Luis Severino, who has been anything but impressive recently. Over his last 10 starts, he owns a 3-6 record with a 6.35 ERA. His opponents have also scored three or more earned runs against him in eight of those 10 starts. This game should be significantly closer to even odds.

Oakland A’s

Brett Anderson (-150)

Brett Anderson has struggled at times this season, but he has quietly thrown well at home. Through four home starts, he owns a 1-1 record with a 2.55 ERA. He’s coming off two rough games, but held his opponents to two or fewer earned runs in each of his four starts before those. Anderson also gets a great matchup against the Los Angeles Angels, who have struggled to produce against left-handed pitching this season. The Oakland A’s get somewhat of a tough matchup against Felix Pena, but he has allowed four earned runs in only 6.2 innings in two starts against them this season. Oakland also owns a 60.5% win rate at home, and their recent offensive struggles have come on the road.

Bet 2 units on the Oakland -1.5 RL to win 2.7 units (+135)

Houston Astros

Dallas Keuchel (-250)

I’ve recommended the Houston Astros twice in this series, and I’m going back to the well again. Dallas Keuchel will be taking the mound for the Astros, and he has thrown well this season. Through 31 starts, he owns an 11-10 record with a 3.57 ERA. He has struggled at times against the Seattle Mariners this season, but he held them to one run over seven innings in their last matchup. Seattle is running a bullpen game with Matt Festa starting. Festa has found success in limited games this season, but he’s only going to throw a couple innings in this game. The Seattle bullpen has been below average this season, ranking 18th in team ERA. Houston is a bit of a safer bet to pair with two underdogs.

Bet 4 units on the Houston -1.5 RL to win 3.1 units (-130)
