MLB DFS 10/1/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

Happy CASHTOBER!!!Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 10/1/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here.

It’s really hard to not look at Max Scherzer tonight. Max gets a solid matchup against Atlanta and he has a 35% strikeout rate against this current roster. Now, the Braves are great hitters and their is no denying that. Scherzer is just an ELITE arm here who doesn’t give up a lot of hard contact (32%) at all. There re a couple of guys I really like for our SP2 but Cristian Javier stands out a bit more than the others. Javier has really come out of his shell this year and has been pitching fantasticly! With a 37% strikeout rate against Tampa Bay, it’s very easy to see why I would want to roster him. The Rays don’t make a ton of hard contact and Javier doesn’t give up a lot as well. Cristian actually just played them a couple of starts ago and shut them out to go with 24.3 fantasy points. Another couple of cheap plays I like are Mike Clevinger and Michael Grove.

Mookie Betts makes for an elite option tonight against Kyle Freeland and Co. Colorado has been atrocious on the road and they go up against one of the hottest teams in baseball. Mookie has been heating up lately with seven hits in his last four games. Betts is my top play tonight as he crushes the majority of Freeland’s pitches (fastball, slider and sinker). I personally expect a homerun and probably another hit as well. Marcus Semien is another guy I really like tonight. Marcus gets a date against Jose Suarez and the Angels in LA. The numbers don’t exactly jump out at you but the matchup is fantastic. Suarez loves his fastball (thrown 35% of the time) and Semien has crushed that pitched all year long. I am thinking Marcus gets minimum two at bats against him and shouldn’t be very high owned.
