MLB DFS 10/2/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

Happy CASHTOBER!!!Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 10/2/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here.

Pitcher

I will start off today by saying pitching isn’t great by any means. There are however a couple of guys who stand out above the rest. One of them is Kevin Gausman who gets a date with the officially eliminated Boston Red Sox. Gausman has been elite nearly all year long and this is a solid matchup where he can get ready for playoffs. Kevin has a strikeout rate at nearly 30% for the year and Boston has been pretty bad hitting recently. With only three players having hard contact over 45%, it is easy to see why Gausman is one of the top plays. My other ppitcher has to be Shane Bieber. With a 33% strikeout rate agaist this current Royals offense, he makes for an ideal play. Shane started off a little slow but has been strong over the past few starts. Kansas City has really been through hot and cold patches this year with a cold patch currently in place. Also think that being at home in cleveland benefits Bieber here as well. I have no issues with taking shots on Pablo Lopez or even Freddy Peralta if you want to save some money at pitcher. Just know they have upside but can easily be blown up with how they have been pitching recently.

Batters

Aaron Judge really needs no introduction and is pretty obvious. I have had him under a cash option in final thoughts for nearly a month on and off. Judge has been hitting video game like numbers this year and I don’t think he is done yet either. Kyle Bradish has been pretty atrocious against the Yanks in his career which shouldn’t stop today. Go ahead and lock Judge in and move on! Yordan Alvarez is my next play and yes I know they are both pricey. It is hard to ignore that he has a hard contact hit rate of 60%. With a matchup again Kluber and co in Houston, I really like the spot for him. Kluber actually doesn’t give up a ton of hard contact (35%) but Yordan is nearly matchup proof and shuld thrive against him and their bullpen.

BOLD CALL

JUDGE DOUBLE DONG DAY!!
