MLB DFS 4/12/22 – Dylan’s Top Stacks for DraftKings & FanDuel

Welcome to our MLB DFS Top Stacks for 4/12/22. In this article, I will break down by top overall stacks for today’s main slate. We have a lovely 9 game slate today and there are a ton of great ways to go. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate this season – you can gain access to the Core Plays as well as our premium discord here. You can also try out the Core Plays package with a $5 daily pass. Let’s get into it…

Los Angeles Angels – (5.5 IRT)

The Angels get a good matchup against a pitcher in Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo has had a very rocky pitching career, and it has been going downhill drastically the last two seasons. Last year he posted a 6.61 ERA, an xFIP of 5.48, and a LOB% of 65.4, the Angels have a lineup that has a lot of power and can open the gates on a pitcher like Luzardo. We have winds blowing 15-20MPH out to right field in this game, fans in right field could be getting a lot of souvenirs today.

St Louis Cardinals – (5.4 IRT)

By far my favorite stack of the day has to be the Cardinals. The Cardinals have been putting up runs to start the year and they get a matchup against a young 2nd year MLB pitcher in Daniel Lynch. Lynch posted a 5.69 era last season, pitching in 68 innings, giving up 80 hits and allowing 43 runs. He has a tendency to give up fly balls, posting a 67.4% LOB% last season. Daniel gets a matchup against a lineup full of right-handed hitters, and he statistically struggles against them. The weather does not work in his favor at all, winds blowing upwards of 20MPH to left field, this could spell for early disaster for a young pitcher.

Houston Astros – (5 IRT)

The Astros get a matchup against Madison Bumgardner today, I actually like Bumgardner as a pitcher, but the Astros just flat out hit left-handed pitchers. Bumgardner started opening day only pitched 3 innings, giving up 1 run, and walking 4 batters. The Astros have great plate discipline, and if Bumgardner is going to allow free bases he could put himself into some early jams.
