MLB DFS 7/16/22 – OwnersBox Best Buys

We are beyond thrilled to “officially” announce our newest partners at OwnersBox. While being well known for their WFS (Weekly Fantasy Sports) product, they have recently launched their first ever DFS platform and have been using none other than Karma Nation to test it! You’re probably asking yourself right now, what is OwnersBox and how are they different?

What is OwnersBox? How are they different?

OwnersBox is the newest DFS lineup platform giving you more lineup flexibility than ANYONE else by creating a “SuperFlex“. For MLB, this roster spot allows you to lock in ANY infielder, ANY outfielder, and ANY starting pitcher! You are also not forced to play any specific position as their MLB lineup is simply 4 infielders, 3 outfielders, 1 starting pitcher, and the 1 SuperFlex spot!

Sounds interesting, how do I sign up?!

Glad you asked! You want to CLICK HERE to download their app on whatever mobile device you own. By doing that and using promo code KARMA, you will automatically get a FREE $5 added to your account! Once you decide to deposit, they will add another FREE $25 to your account, no matter how much you deposit! Make sure you get in our free Discord chat room to join all our 24/7/365 OwnersBox lineup discussions as well!

Every Friday we will be dropping a SuperFlex Fridays podcast on our YouTube channel to help you build your lineups. Here is today’s episode below:

Top Play – Trayce Thompson

Thompson and the Dodgers are in a fantastic spot against Jose Suarez tonight. They sport a five run team total, and have too much right-handed power for Suarez to comfortably navigate. Thompson doesn’t have great surface numbers, but his batted ball data vs lefties is some of the best in their lineup. This season, his 25% line-drive rate trails only Will Smith in their projected lineup. He is projected to bat eighth in the order, but this is a great way to get cheap exposure to one of the best offenses in baseball.

Top Pitcher – Sean Manaea

Sean Manaea checks in as our top projected pitcher tonight matched up with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Arizona is not a high strikeout lineup against left-handed pitching, but they also can’t be considered a good offense either. Tonight’s projected lineup carries a combined .300 wOBA and .161 ISO into tonight. Manaea also has dominated this offense in recent years, and owns a sparkling .253 expected wOBA against their current roster. Overall, there is no standout play on the night slate and I’m pushing my chips in on Manaea as the safest option with upside.

Top Super-Flex Play – Rafael Devers

I typically write up two pitchers, but with the uncertainty at the position today I’m focused on spending up for Raffy Devers. Devers has some of the best numbers in baseball against right-handed pitching this season including a .429 wOBA and a .302 ISO. Jameson Taillon has been a good pitcher this season, but he has outperformed his advanced numbers by a decent bit. He’s definitely worse against left-handed pitching, especially in the power department. Devers has monster upside, and owns a 97 mph average exit velocity in 8 career PA’s against Taillon.
