MLB DFS 7/7/22 – OwnersBox Best Buys

We are beyond thrilled to “officially” announce our newest partners at OwnersBox. While being well known for their WFS (Weekly Fantasy Sports) product, they have recently launched their first ever DFS platform and have been using none other than Karma Nation to test it! You’re probably asking yourself right now, what is OwnersBox and how are they different?

What is OwnersBox? How are they different?

OwnersBox is the newest DFS lineup platform giving you more lineup flexibility than ANYONE else by creating a “SuperFlex“. For MLB, this roster spot allows you to lock in ANY infielder, ANY outfielder, and ANY starting pitcher! You are also not forced to play any specific position as their MLB lineup is simply 4 infielders, 3 outfielders, 1 starting pitcher, and the 1 SuperFlex spot!

Sounds interesting, how do I sign up?!

Glad you asked! You want to CLICK HERE to download their app on whatever mobile device you own. By doing that and using promo code KARMA, you will automatically get a FREE $5 added to your account! Once you decide to deposit, they will add another FREE $25 to your account, no matter how much you deposit! Make sure you get in our free Discord chat room to join all our 24/7/365 OwnersBox lineup discussions as well!

Top Value Play – Buddy Kennedy

As always, we need to prioritize value at our INF/OF positions and we find that tonight in Buddy Kennedy. Kennedy is listed at just $3,700 despite one of the better match-ups against Austin Gomber. Arizona is not a great offense, but Vegas has them projected for just under 5 runs tonight — a number that is up almost half a run since opening at 4.5. Gomber struggles with right-handed batters allowing a .380 wOBA and Kenneday — albeit a small-sample — has the highest hard-hit rate on the team against left-handed pitching. Getting cheap exposure to this lineup makes a ton of sense, and you can even pair him with some of the other Arizona righties tonight.

Top Pitcher – Dylan Cease

Cease will be no secret on Thursday night, and we have him projected as the top scoring pitcher. He’s been elite this season, generating over 32% strikeouts with over 15% swinging strikes. He also as a top match-up tonight against the Detroit Tigers. Detroit has actually been a bit better in terms of strikeouts the last few days, but their lineup still owns a 24% strikeout rate against righties this season. That high K% also comes with just a .268 wOBA and a sub-.100 ISO. He has been in top form, and has the highest ceiling as well at his position. We should be able to find enough value to comfortably fit him into our lineups tonight.

Top Super-Flex Play – Spencer Strider

Strider is a fantastic option tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals, priced at $8,500. He will see a good mixture of righties and lefties in this lineup tonight, which is fine seeing as he strikes out over 38% of both righties and lefties. He’s actually poised to win the NL Rookie of the Year Award, and should continue to be a viable fantasy asset. Vegas loves him as well, with him being installed as a massive -245 favorite — a number that opened at -195. He has the second-highest strikeout upside on the slate behind Cease, and being able to jam in both of them on Thursday will really open up potential for a big score in your lineup.
