MLB DFS 7/8/22 – OwnersBox Best Buys

We are beyond thrilled to “officially” announce our newest partners at OwnersBox. While being well known for their WFS (Weekly Fantasy Sports) product, they have recently launched their first ever DFS platform and have been using none other than Karma Nation to test it! You’re probably asking yourself right now, what is OwnersBox and how are they different?

What is OwnersBox? How are they different?

OwnersBox is the newest DFS lineup platform giving you more lineup flexibility than ANYONE else by creating a “SuperFlex“. For MLB, this roster spot allows you to lock in ANY infielder, ANY outfielder, and ANY starting pitcher! You are also not forced to play any specific position as their MLB lineup is simply 4 infielders, 3 outfielders, 1 starting pitcher, and the 1 SuperFlex spot!

Sounds interesting, how do I sign up?!

Glad you asked! You want to CLICK HERE to download their app on whatever mobile device you own. By doing that and using promo code KARMA, you will automatically get a FREE $5 added to your account! Once you decide to deposit, they will add another FREE $25 to your account, no matter how much you deposit! Make sure you get in our free Discord chat room to join all our 24/7/365 OwnersBox lineup discussions as well!

Every Friday we will be dropping a SuperFlex Fridays podcast on our YouTube channel to help you build your lineups. Here is today’s episode below:

Top Value Play – Ty France

France is in a great spot on Friday night against Ross Stripling, and simply shouldn’t be priced this close to the minimum salary. France has some of the better numbers on the Mariners against right-handed pitching, including a solid .376 wOBA this season. Stripling has always been more of a reverse-splits pitcher, and is allowing over a .330 wOBA to right-handed batters over the last two seasons. France has immense power, and should never be this cheap in my opinion. Seattle is approaching a 4.5 run team total, and you can fit in two of their top three batters in the lineup for under $6,500 by including his teammate JP Crawford. They are my favorite stack on OwnersBox tonight.

Top Pitcher – Zack Wheeler

The decision for top pitcher tonight comes down to Lucas Giolito and Zack Wheeler. Wheeler takes the cake for me, matched up with the St. Louis Cardinals. I’m not a huge BvP guy, but Wheeler has dominated this Cardinals lineup. Over a 60 PA sample-size, he’s allowed just a .210 expected wOBA. He’s also been rounding into form after a slow start to 2022. His numbers include a 3.55 xFIP with 28% strikeouts, just as good as he’s been in recent seasons with Philly. There is tons of value at the INF/OF spots tonight, making spending up a SP an easy move.

Top Super-Flex Play – Aaron Ashby

I’ve been a big Ashby backer this season, and couldn’t be more excited to fire him up against the Pirates tonight. Picking on Pittsburgh with left-handed pitching has been fruitful over the last few weeks, and their projected lineup owns a monster 28% strikeout rate against southpaws. We know Ashby has strikeout ability, with a 28% strikeout rate in 2022. His only real weakness is his 10% walk rate, but the Pirates as a whole don’t walk a lot as a team. He strikes out over 27% of batters on both sides of the plate, so I’m not worried at all about the lineup the Pirates post on Friday. Overall, there are tons of good arms tonight, but I think Ashby has some of the highest upside on the slate.
