With that being said, let’s dive into today’s slate…

Top Pitchers

Tyler Glasnow

It’s looking like a double spend up day at pitcher. Glasnow is first ace I am targeting.  Now, he has given up a good chunk of hard contact this year (47.2%) but his strikeout rate (34.5%) makes up for it from a DFS standpoint. The Tigers are on deck and they haven’t looked horrible as of late. Half the roster is hitting over 40% for hard contact but this team is also not disciplined at the plate whatsoever. This lack of discipline should work out in the favor of Tyler as he does also sport a 37.2% whiff rate. Tampa is heavily favored to win this game which implies another 4-6 fantasy points (depending on site) which can be pivotal. Glasnow is a great option across the board and it won’t be a secret!

Zac Gallen

Not sure what ownership will look like in the end but Gallen is a guy who also comes with a ton of upside. This is more matchup based as Minnesota strikes out the most in the league per 9 innings (10.29). Gallen has cooled off a little but we all know what this ma is capable of when he is feeling it. The Twins also aren’t hitting the ball very well along with being banged up with some of the core members of the team. Zac has a 6 pitch mix which helps keep the batter guessing and Arizona is heavily favored to win this as well. Gallen is sporting a 26% strikeout rate along with a walk rate of 5.5% and a whiff rate of 28%. There is a ton to like about Gallen here and he is more than worth rostering today in all formats! If you’re not feeling Zac, a good replacement is Charlie Morton!

Building Blocks

Matt Chapman

Toronto is in a good spot all around today. Winds blowing out around 5-8 MPH and playing in the second most hitter friendly park in the MLB along with going up against some young pitching. Chapman sticks out to me the most because he is a true power hitter. He is nerly making hard conact 60% of the time which is crazy. All it will take is a good connection on one pitch and that ball is going over the Green Monstah. Chapman is porjected to bat at 5 spot which is usually where he lands but this is a good spot to get RBI’s with some very good hitting in 1-4 hole.

My favorite stack for today is going to be The Blue Jays against Bernardino/Murphy! Other teams to stack that I am interested in are The Phillies and The Diamondbacks!

Spike’s Fun Fact of the Day

From ’95 to ’01 every seat at Jacob’s Field was sold out for every night for 455 games in a row. The Guardians retired the number 455 in honor of their fans!
