MLB DFS 8/7/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks | DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

HAPPY SUNDAY! Welcome to our MLB DFS Building Blocks, DraftKings and FanDuel picks for 8/7/22! In this article, I’ll break down by top overall plays for today’s main slate. We have already found a lot of success to start the year off and there is plenty more to come! A big KARMA takedown is imminent and only a matter of time. I will be providing Core Plays for every main slate (and day baseball) this season — you can gain access to that as well as our premium discord here.

Pitcher

Corbin Burnes is looking like one of the best pitching options on the slate. He boasts a 31% strikeout rate against the Reds current roster. Cincinnati doesn’t hit with a lot of power and tends to strikeout quite a bit. This is matchup based but Burnes is also one of the better arms in the league. You can lock him in across all leagues in cash games and he even make a good GPP play here too. With your SP2, you’re goinng to have to make a tough decision betgween two guys. For me, Aaron Nola wins against Gausman. Nola gets a matchup against the Nationals. Since the trade deadline, they have becoe significantly weaker as an offense. Aaron has seem mixed results against them thus far but have not seent hem without Bell or Soto. Again, there is nothing wrong with taking Kevin Gausman, I just prefer Nola more.

Batters

Rhys Hoskins has been on absolute fire lately. Three homeruns in his past three games and I think he could extend that today. He is still priced under $4500 on DK for some reason. Washingtons bullpen is ugly and Cory Abbott doesn’t scare me either. There is a lot of value with his price being so low and is a very solid one off today.  The other guy I want to talk about has also been heating up as of late. Brandon Lowe isn’t as cheap but still should be priced higher. Matt Manning and Co in Detroit are pretty bad. I expect Lowe to get on base a couple of times and another dinger is a strong possibility. Brandon loves fastballs which Manning throws over 50% of the time. Detroit plays in a hitter friendly park to help things a bit.

Bold Calls

LOWE GETS 6 TOTAL BASES!
