Thoughts:

Updates to come to this section as we approach lock so continue to check back for more insight.

  • This is going to be a pretty good slate with a lot of different elite options you can pay up for which is going to make decision making tough (which is a good thing).
  • The value opening up on the Kings due to the Marvin Bagley injury is going to be where a lot of our attention is focused on tonight where the rotation is given to change and we will need to project who fills in all the usage and minutes that Bagley consumed.
    • This will be key to winning the slate as we saw on the first real slate of the season with the Heat values proving to be the key to the slate.
  • Value in NBA is where you should be starting off your builds.  Tonight, my top values that are priced below 5k on Draftkings that I am starting off my builds with (3 entry night for me) include:
    • Daniel Theis
    • Nemanja Bjelica, Dewayne Dedmon, Richaun Holmes
    • Aaron Baynes
    • Joe Ingles
    • Ish Smith
    • Gary Harris
  • The studs are where you really need to hit on to have a successful night.  If I’m looking from a ceiling night from my high-end players tonight I’m focusing on this pool:
    • Karl-Anthony Towns
    • Luka Doncic
    • Nikola Jokic
    • LeBron James
    • Bradley Beal
    • Kyrie Irving
    • Julius Randle
  • Stacking is not as necessary in NBA DFS as it is in other sports but there is still correlation.  Game stacking is underrated in NBA DFS given the number of games that go to over-time.  Playing 3-4 players from the same game gives you a major edge if that specific game goes to overtime.  Look to get some game stack exposure to your GPP lineups tonight if running multi-entry.
