Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 2/28/19

Over Under 2/2 – Cleveland Cavaliers/New York Knicks

This play is significantly less about Jordan Clarkson than it is Mitchell Robinson. Robinson has been an elite per minute player this season, as he’s averaging 9.9 rebounds on a per-36 minute basis. He has played 33 and 30 minutes in his last two games, recording 14 rebounds in each of those games. Robinson is expected to play 30+ minutes in this game, and if that’s the case, he should easily hit the over once again. Clarkson is a bit more unpredictable, but his role in the offense will decrease with Kevin Love playing bigger minutes. Since the All Star Break, Clarkson has played more than 24 minutes in only one game. In his other two games, he scored 5 and 15 points in 22 and 24 minutes. He’s expected to see minutes in the low- to mid-20s once again tonight, making the under significantly more likely than the over. He’s a volume scorer, who could fail to see the volume in somewhat of limited minutes tonight.

Play $50 on Jordan Clarkson UNDER 16.5 points and Mitchell Robinson OVER 8.5 rebounds to win $111 (2.22x)

Over Under 2/2 – Cleveland Cavaliers/New York Knicks

Kevin Love hasn’t been overly consistent since returning from injury, but he’s averaging 22.0 points in only 25.2 minutes per game since the All Star Break. He’s expected to see 30+ minutes for the first time since his injury tonight. Love should also see shot attempts in the teens, including 5-8 three-point attempts and a few free throw attempts tonight. The New York Knicks don’t feature anyone defensively that has the ability to keep up with him, and he’ll continue to be a main cog in the offense, especially with bigger minutes tonight. Kevin Knox is playing a large role in the Knicks offense, but his shot is far too inconsistent to trust. He’s averaging 5.3 three-point attempts per game over his last nine games, but he’s shooting only 31.3% from beyond the arc over that span. He also made 3+ three-pointers in only two of those nine games. This goes back significantly further, as well, as he’s averaging only 1.6 three-pointers made on 5.4 three-points attempted over his last 21 games. Over that span, he has made three or more three-pointers in only five of those games. The under is significantly more likely than the over in this play for Knox.

Play $50 on Kevin Love OVER 19.5 points and Kevin Knox UNDER 2.5 three-pointers made to win $114 (2.28x)
