Power Play

Kawhi Leonard has found plenty of success recently. He’s averaging 36.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.8 steals (57.5 fantasy points) in 33.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days. Leonard has also scored 60+ fantasy points in 3 of his last 5 games. He gets a plus matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, who rank 16th in the NBA in defensive rating. In their only matchup this season, Leonard posted 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal in only 28.3 minutes. He’s expected to find minutes in the mid- to high-30s tonight with Paul George out of the lineup. Leonard comes with elite upside, and Dallas doesn’t feature a defense that will be able to slow him down.

Dwight Powell has quietly stepped up a bit in recent games. He’s averaging 14.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists (25.9 fantasy points) in 29.3 minutes per game over the last 10 days. His numbers are a bit skewed by two bad games, though. Powell has scored 28+ fantasy points in 4 of his last 6 games, including 3 of his last 4. He’s playing bigger minutes on a nightly basis, and he’s expected to play around 30 minutes tonight. Powell gets a plus matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, who rank seventh in the NBA in defensive rating, but also rank seventh in pace. They have struggled at times against athletic bigs this season, and Powell comes with plenty of upside. This total is still a bit low for the uptick in pace Powell will see, and he’s a double-double threat in this matchup.

Play 1 unit on Kawhi Leonard OVER 52.5 fantasy points and Dwight Powell OVER 28.0 fantasy points to win 2.5 units (2.5x)
