Thoughts:

Updates to come to this section as we approach lock so continue to check back for more insight.

  • Today seems like a fantastic slate to differenatiate yourself in the high tier of player where no stud posts a real insane value outside of James Harden at the G/F positions.  I am finding myself less on Giannis from a roster construction stand point and don’t exactly love the matchup against the Magic on the road.
  • For me, Caris LeVert is a building block tonight in my lineups and I think he’s going slightly under-looked.  He’ll be popular due to the total in this game but I am around 65-70% exposure to him tonight which will be extremely overweight.  He is way too cheap and the spot is fantastic.
  • When looking for value to fill out your lineups, which is crucial on this slate where I am paying up for a lot of studs…. look to target:
    • Daniel Theis
    • Marcus Smart
    • Eric Gordon
    • Rudy Gay
    • Trey Lyles
    • Otto Porter
    • Jordan Poole
    • Terrance Ross
    • Nemanja Bjelica
  • All of the players listed above are priced under 5k on DK, own a positive value score, and have a ceiling that is viable enough for me in GPPs tonight.
  • Next, I am going to be focused on exposing myself to high total games with tight spreads when stacking in GPPs.
    • One of the most underrated parts of NBA DFS is game stacking.  The amount of times game stacks are utilized compared to the number of overtimes we see in the NBA is extremely underutilized.
    • When playing the 50,000 person GPP’s, you should be picking a game that you think will be competitive with a chance to go to overtime.  We gain a ton of additional value when a game goes to overtime and we have the relevant DFS plays from that game stacked up.
    • Make sure to focus on the games I listed in the table above when looking to stack a game tonight in GPP.
