Brian’s CBB DFS Top Plays 1/4

Welcome to Brian’s CBB slate breakdown. In this article I will share a few of my top plays on the slate, and discuss who you should target in cash and gpp contests. If you would like to gain access to our CBB core plays, final thoughts, and premium discord, click here.

Guards

Miles McBride (West Virginia) vs. Oklahoma State

This West Virginia/Oklahoma State game is one of the top games to target on this small slate. McBride scored over 30 fpts. in 4 of his last 5 games. McBride has a 22% usage rate, good for second on the team only behind Culver. You can always count on McBride being a goo source of scoring and he also adds in a very good ability to create turnovers. I love McBride at his price tonight and he will be one of the first guys I get in my lineup

Cade Cunningham (Oklahoma State) vs. West Virginia

Cade Cunningham is potentially the future #1 pick in this years NBA draft, and each game he plays he shows us why he is so widely regarded. Cade is averaging 18.7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assist per game. Sometimes with freshman guards, they struggle shooting from distance, not Cade.  Cade is shooting over 47% from 3 this year and over 50% from the field. West Virginia does have a very solid defense, but we just watched Cade put up a very nice stat line vs. one of the top defenses in the BIG 12.  I have no worries about him tonight, he is by far the top spend up on this slate for me.

Others to consider: A. Franklin (IND); H. Hart (Maryland); A. Anderson (OKST); I. Stevens (CSU); E. Ayala (Maryland); B. Williams (OKST)

Forwards

Jalen Bridges (West Virginia) vs. Oklahoma State

We received news over the weekend that Oscar Tshiebwe was stepping away from the Mountaineer program, and would not be returning.  With this news, many expected that Gabe Osabuohien would draw the start. That was not the case, instead Jalen Bridges stepped into the starting lineup.  Bridges did not disappoint with his opportunity. Bridges played 27 minutes, scored 19 points and pulled in 3 rebounds.  I would like to see his rebounds increase, and expect them too.  Bridges should draw the start once again for this WV team, and priced at $3900 on DK, he is a very strong play in all formats.

Trayce Jackson-Davis (Indiana) vs. Maryland

With the value that we have on this slate, it makes sense to get at least two of the top tier guys in your lineup.  Jackson-Davis is the guy I am looking to pair with Cunningham in my main lineup. Trayce is averaging over 20 points and 8 rebounds per game for Indiana.  Jackson-Davis carries a 31% usage rate, which leads the team.  Maryland is not the best rebounding or defensive team, increasing the ceiling for Trayce. Indiana carries one of the highest projected team total on this slate, with a projected total of 71 points. TJD is a very strong play in all formats tonight, always a threat for a double/double with multiple blocks on top of that!

Others to consider:  D. Scott (Maryland); D. Roddy (CSU); M. Mitchell (SDSU); A. Thistlewood (CSU); G. Osabuohien (WVU)
