Guards

Harold Beverly (Miami) vs. Pittsburgh

Beverly is going to be asked to play big minutes tonight with the Hurricanes missing Chris Lykes and Kameron McGusty. It appears that Miami will have a 6-7 man rotation so we are looking at big minutes here. The pace of this game is not ideal for fantasy production. With the amount of minutes Beverly will see here and with his usage rate increasing due to the injuries Miami is dealing with, he is a strong play at only 7.1k. Isaiah Wong is another option here for an increase in minutes and usage, however, he is priced at 8.6k. We get $1500 in saving by going down to Beverly, and both players have similar ceilings here.

Jair Bolden (Butler) vs. Villanova

Butler has only played one game so far this season, beating WMU by 4.  Now they will be tasked with taking on one of the top teams in the country in Villanova.  This will not be an easy task, or matchup here for Bolden.  However, he started and played 30 minutes in Butler’s first game.  Bolden scored 15 points and pulled in 9 rebounds.  Bolden comes in at a very affordable price at only 6.2k.  Though the matchup is not ideal, his minutes played and his usage when on the court makes him a solid play at his price.  Bolden is also a very good 3pt shooter

Mike Miles (TCU) vs. Oklahoma State

Miles is a freshman for TCU who is one of the top usage rate leaders on this Horned Frogs team with a usage rate of 25%.  He finds himself in a pace up spot vs. Oklahoma State who is ranked in the top 3rd in pace.  He has shown a great a find the open man in this offense.  He is priced below 6k and provides us nice salary relief tonight.

Others to consider: DJ Steward (Duke); C. Gillespie (NOVA); J. Roach (Duke); C. Cunningham (OKST); K. Williams (CINCY); C. Ryan (ND); G. Hunt (OSU); M. Tate (BUT); J. Vazquez (MONT); I. Wong (MIA)

Forwards

Matthew Hurt (DUKE) vs. Notre Dame

This is one of the best games to target tonight in terms of fantasy. Hurt comes in as one of my top plays, not only on the slate, but in this game. He has taken over the alpha dog role on this Duke team over the last few games and has shown that he can be dominant scoring down low and shooting from distance. He is Dukes usage leader, and will be asked to carry even more of a workload with Johnson out.

Justice Sueing (Ohio State) vs. Purdue

EJ Liddell has been ruled out tonight forcing Sueing into an even bigger workload than what he has recently seen. Sueing is priced at $6300 and is a nice value piece to target tonight due to the increase in minutes he is expected to get and the increase in usage.  Sueing is averaging 14 points and 5 rebounds on the season. Key could also see more run tonight and even draw a start.

Jaemyn Brakefield (DUKE) vs. Notre Dame

With Jalen Johnson out for an extended period of time Duke will need to turn to some other big men to help fill his role. Brakefield appears to be one of the main beneficiaries of Johnson’s absence. Brakefield comes in priced below 5k on both sites and should be considered a very strong value play.  Over Duke’s past two game Brakefield has averaged 16 minutes, 8 points and 6 rebounds per game.

Others to consider: J. Champagnie (PITT); T. Wiliams (PUR); T. Alatishe (ORST); J. Robinson-Earl (NOVA); Z. Key (OSU); B. Golden (BUT); K. Owens (MONT); M. Steadman (MONT); A. Toney (Pitt)
