Guards

Joe Wieskamp (Iowa) vs. Purdue

This game is one that we want to target tonight with the highest game total on the slate by more than 10 points.  Iowa is coming off their first loss of the season to Gonzaga.  Iowa is one of the top offensive teams in the country, thanks to guys like Wieskamp, who is an exceptional scorer and rebounder.  He carries 40+ point upside into this matchup vs. Purdue.  Iowa has a team implied total of 82 points tonight, making them a priority target on this slate

Eric Hunter (Purdue) vs. Iowa

Jalen Suggs absolutely dismantled this Iowa backcourt this past weekend, exposing how poor this Iowa defense really is.  Purdue comes into this game with the third highest team implied total on the slate with a total of 74 points.  Hunter has started each of the last 3 games for Purdue, scoring 15 points per game and averaging 5 assist and 2 steals per game.  He gets a pace up game vs. one of the fastest paced teams in the country tonight, making him a great target in all formats.

D’Mitrik Trice (Wisconsin) vs. Nebraska

Trice gets a very good matchup tonight vs. one of the worst teams in the conference in terms of defensive efficiency.  He has been a really solid scorer for this Wisconsin team, and is known for his ability to facilitate.  He comes into this game with a usage rate of 21%.  His skill set combined with this matchup should equal really good success tonight.

Others to consider: D. Daniels (NCST); A. Reaves (OU); C. Love (UNC); C. Jones (LOU); T. Kuhse (St.Mary); O. Agbaji (KAN); R. Davis (UNC); M. Garrett (KU)

Forwards

Luka Garza (Iowa) vs. Purdue

I feel like a broken record writing up Luka Garza every slate that he is on, but until they price him up to 12k or more, he will continue to be one of the best plays on the slate.  Garza is averaging over 46 fantasy points per game this year, which is good for over 4x his current salary.  He is one of the most skilled big men in the nation.  Gonzaga has one of the best defenses in the nation, and Garza absolutely destroyed them.  There is not much hope for Purdue slowing the front runner for Player of the Year down!  He is averaging 28 points per game, 9 rebounds per game and 2 blocks per game.

Trevion Williams (Purdue) vs. Iowa

As good as Iowa is offensively, they are extremely poor defensively.  Williams leads this Purdue team with a usage rate of 35%. Williams comes with extremely high upside in this matchup.  Iowa’s is not the best rebounding team, allowing opponents to pull in offensive rebounds at a high rate.  If Williams is able to avoid foul trouble while guarding Luka Garza, he could potentially reach a ceiling of 50+ points.  I lean towards Garza in cash tonight, but Williams will be one of my top GPP targets.

Armando Bacot (UNC) vs. NC State

Bacot seems to have finally found his footing as of late.  He is playing really good basketball right now and is being a dominant force on the boards.  Over his last two games he is averaging 17 points per game and 10 rebounds per game.  If there is one thing that NC State really struggles with, it is rebounding.  UNC likes to play through their frontcourt,  always making them viable plays.  On a night like tonight with a matchup vs. a team that struggles rebounding and guarding opposing teams frontcourts, they are extremely good plays.  Garrison Brooks is also someone you could look to target in this game.

Others to consider: Micah Potter (Wisconsin); Garrison Brooks (UNC); Elijah Childs (Brad); J. Wilson (KAN); N. Reuvers (WIS); M. Mitchell (SDSU); M. Tass (St.Mary); M. Bates (NC State); T. Lakes (NEB)
