Guards

Xavier Pinson (Mizzou) vs. UGA

Pinson and the Missouri Tigers have a fantastic matchup vs. a weak UGA defense that we will want to target tonight.  They are also without one of their top players in Jeremiah Tilmon. With Tilmon being out, this increases the usage rates for guys like Pinson, D. Smith and M. Smith. I really like targeting Pinson and his over 30% usage rate. He is a very skilled scorer, averaging nearly 18 ppg, while also adding upside through his ability to rack up steals. He is averaging just over 2 steals per game.  Look for him to have a strong showing here in a pace up spot vs. UGA. UGA is allowing teams to shoot 53% from the field and nearly 35% from three.

Ayo Dosunmu (Illinois) vs. Northwestern

Dosunmu has returned to playing like the dominant player he showed us he was early in the season.  He has scored 50+ DK points in consecutive games now, and is extremely productive in all areas of the game.  I expect he will have a good game here vs. a Northwestern team that is really struggling lately, and are allowing over 78 points per game.  Dosunmu will cost you near 10k, which will limit your lineup build.  However it is hard not to like a guy that has a great chance of being the highest scoring player on the slate.

Forwards

Kofi Cockburn (Illinois) vs. Northwestern

This guy is a walking double-double.  He has picked up a double-double in 9 of his last 10 games.  He dominates teams in the paint and on the glass, and that trend should continue vs. a Northwestern team that is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country.  In Kofi’s last matchup vs. NW he finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.  I expect him to dominate tonight; he is one of the safest cash plays on the slate.  I do believe that he comes with enough upside to play in tournaments as well.

Zach Freemantle (Xavier) vs. St. Johns

Freemantle is coming off of one of his best performances of the year, where he scored 30 points and picked up 15 rebounds vs. UConn.  He now gets a favorable matchup vs. a St. Johns team that not only pushes the tempo, but they are also a below average rebounding team, and also allow teams to shoot a high percentage in the paint and from 3pt range.  Freemantle does have the ability to knock down the open 3, and also has the skill to be a force on the block.  Freemantle has a 32% usage rate and is averaging a double-double over his last 5 games.  I think Freemantle, like Cockburn, are really strong plays in all formats tonight.
