Joey’s NBA DFS Value Plays for DraftKings 02/12/21

What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. In this article, I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. If you haven’t signed up for core plays yet, make sure to do so by clicking here. We have daily, weekly, monthly, and season-long packages. You can try us out for as little as $5!

Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price, and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.

If you are familiar with NBA DFS you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Whether it is on the free side or the premium side there will always be people discussing injury news and how it has impacted the slate.

Also, make sure to check out our brand new live odds on BetKarma to stay up to date on how Vegas are projecting these games.

All plays are under $5000!

Isaiah Stewart $3,100:

Stewart is going to be chalk tonight and I don’t think you can get away with fading him even in GPPs. He is definitely a cash lock if he is starting. He is coming off a huge game last night against the Indiana Pacers where he put up 33.25 DK points in 31 minutes. Now we have another game where Mason Plumlee has already been ruled out. Stewart has been given five opportunities to play more than 20 minutes this season. He has put up at least 17.5 DK points in those five games. He is averaging 24.8 DK points per game and roughly one DK point per minute.

The matchup doesn’t really matter that much because of how cheap he is and the minutes he is getting but it is still a good spot for him. The Celtics are giving up the 9th most DK points to centers this season. The Celtics rank 23rd in pace and 15th in defensive rating. They also rank 11th in rebounding percentage and 12th in field goal percentage. So not the best rebounding matchup for him but he doesn’t need much to hit value.

The projections portal is showing Isaiah Stewart as the best value play under $5000 on the slate and projected for 26.90 fantasy points.

Payton Pritchard $3,800:

Pritchard has made great use of his short time in Boston so far. He continues to produce in limited minutes. Pritchard has another opportunity to surpass 20 minutes tonight. Kemba Walker has been ruled out tonight, this is on top of Marcus Smart who has already missed a couple of games. Pritchard has been able to find success in games where he played more than 20 minutes. Obviously not every game he plays 20 minutes he has dominated but he has played in ten games over 20 minutes this season. These outcomes have resulted in DK points between 14 and 37 points. He is averaging 23.5 DK points in these games and 0.91 DK points per minute.

The Celtics are going up against the other value plays’ team tonight; the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons are another team that does not play at a high pace, but again these players are cheap enough where the pace and defense won’t matter. The Pistons are giving up the 12th most DK points to Point Guards this season. The Pistons rank 25th in pace and 22nd in defensive rating.

The projections portal is showing Payton Pritchard as the second-best value play under $5000 on the slate and projected for 24.10 fantasy points.
