Joey’s NBA DFS Value Plays for DraftKings 03/12/21

What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. If you haven’t signed up for core plays yet, make sure to do so by clicking here. We have daily, weekly, monthly, and season-long packages. You can try us out for as little as $5!

Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price, and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.

If you are familiar with NBA DFS you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Whether it is on the free side or the premium side there will always be people discussing injury news and how it has impacted the slate.

Also, make sure to check out our live odds on BetKarma to stay up to date on how Vegas is projecting these games.

All plays are under $5000

Rockets Value

This is more of an obvious play so I don’t want to go too much into it. The Rockets are missing John Wall, Victor Oladipo, Eric Gordon, Christian Wood, PJ Tucker, Danuel House, and Rodions Kurucs. This left the Rockets below the minimum amount of players needed to play in a game. So, they had to bring some guys up from the G-League to field a team, this includes Kevin Porter Jr and Kenyon Martin Jr. Both of these guys came out last night and balled for the Rockets. Racking up over 10x value for these two guys. There is going to be plenty of these guys used in everyone’s lineup tonight. I will be prioritizing the two I mentioned above and Sterling Brown.

Dwayne Bacon $4200

Bacon gets a huge boost with everyone out for the Magic. There was just a huge break for these players and now everyone is still out. The Magic are still without Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz, but now will be without two more guards; Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross. While also missing Aaron Gordon and James Ennis. Needless to say, the Magic are also short-handed tonight in the backcourt. Bacon continues to see low 30s minutes as these players recover from injury, which makes him valuable salary relief on tonight’s slate. Being without Fournier and Ross last night the Magic needed someone to step into a scoring role and that’s just what Bacon did; putting up 15 shot attempts and scoring 21 points to go along with it. He gets a much easier matchup tonight against the Spurs where he should be able to take advantage of the injury bug again.
