Top Tier
Skylar Diggins Smith: Diana Taurasi is out for the second straight game so we can load up on SDS again. She was able to drop fantasy points in 36 minutes of play. She also had a 20.7% usage rate which is only a 3% usage rate since either Hartley or DT have been out. This isn’t a huge usage bump but the usage bump plus all the minutes AND going against the one of the worst defenses in the league. This will lead SDS to the potential to being the highest scoring guard on the slate outside of Bonner.
GPP Pivot: DeWanna Bonner
Middle Tier
Bria Hartley: Hartley will go over looked here but she is still a fine cash play if that’s where your lineup leads you to. No reason to change everything up because she is a little more risky than SDS. She has been unbelievable this season off the bench and working her way to 6th women of the year. Not starting with keep her ownership down and is a great Pivot today in cash and GPPs.
GPP Pivot: Courtney Williams
Cheap Tier
Blake Dietrick: I haven’t decided if I want Bird or Dietrick tonight for my cheap play. Carter is out tonight and Dietrick is just too cheap for playing 20+ minutes. She did amazing when Courtney Williams was out but she has a tough matchup against Seattle but she will also play during a blowout.
GPP Pivot: Sue Bird
Forwards
Top Tier
Brittany Griner: She is in the same boat as SDS where she has increased minutes and usage tonight against one of the worst front court defenses in the league. She will be the highest scorer on the slate most likely. Stewart is a close second but they should be within 2-3 points of eachother. I’m going to try to fit both of them in my cash lineup tonight. Griner dominated the Wings last game with over 50 fantasy points and will have the same workload tonight against the Sky who are even worse at interior defense.
GPP Pivot: Breanna Stewart
Middle Tier
Brianna Turner: No one played Turner either last slate but I’m sure that she won’t go over looked. She is another Mercury player that saw a season high in minutes. Seems like coach is really narrowing rotations so this is a perfect time to get in on these players before they go up in DT misses another game. Turner never really goes off when she’s getting 20 minutes but her points per minute have been incredible and that was seen with a ceiling game when she topped 30 minutes.
GPP Pivot: Monique Billings
Cheap Tier
Nia Coffey: We have seen a trend this entire article. Taurasi had the highest usage rate in the league so losing her opens up a ton of fantasy points. Coffey has been trending upwards all season and at only 4.5k she is going to be in my cash pool again. Not sure why she was under 5% in all my contests last slate but I’m sure she will see an increase in ownership today. She saw a season high in points rebounds minutes and FGAs. With Chicago being so bad at defense she could repeat that performance today.
GPP Pivot: Ezi Magbegor (Increased minutes in a blowout)
