Thoughts:

Updates to come to this section as we approach lock so continue to check back for more insight.

  • This slate comes with a ton of injury news. The biggest edge today will be adjusting to this news accordingly.
  • Russell Westbrook (OUT REST) Russ will sit back to backs to begin the season. Beal becomes one of the strongest plays on the slate. Neto is an interesting value play at only 3.1k
  • Obi Toppin remains out which leaves a ton of playing time for Randle and Robinson. Noel is an interesting cheap target in GPPs, he’s a strong fantasy point per minute producer.
  • Anthony Davis (OUT) will miss tonight. Lebron James and Motrezl Harrell are two of the stronger plays on the slate.
  • Back to the Eric Bledsoe well. Bledsoe burned a lot of people with his play on Christmas day. He is still underpriced for his current role.
  • Demar Derozan has looked great to start the season. He now has a soft matchup versus the Pelicans.
  • Bismack Biyombo has not gotten a price increase since Cody Zeller went down with a hand injury. Biyombo played 30 minutes last night, which is aggressive but we can safely project him for 26-28 minutes.
  • Kuzma and Towns are interesting plays in Lakers/Minnesota game stacks. Towns is Q so that is news we have to monitor.
  • Going back to the Bulls with Wendell Carter and Lauri Markenen versus the weak interior Warriors defense and pairing them with Curry is an intriguing game stack.
  • Zion Williamson and Julius Randle are two of my favorite mid-range targets they are explosive players with slate breaking upside in plus matchups.
