NBA DFS 1/10/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Tuesday night…

Players Listed As Questionable

This feels very strange, but we were awarded major news early in the day for once with both Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo getting ruled out for the Miami Heat — Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin are both out for them, as well. This makes the slate very straightforward for cash games / single entry contests. There are several players that we already know are out — like Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Paul George. There are also a few big names that are up in the air that I’ll discuss below. Regardless of what else news breaks, unless it’s completely out of the blue, won’t change our interest in the Miami Heat players. There is so big minutes sample with these four players off the court this season, but it’s clear that we will likely be rostering 3+ Heat players tonight. Gabe Vincent will likely start at PG, and guys like Victor Oladipo and Haywood Highsmith get bumps and can be considered in all formats. As for the big-men, it’s likely that Dewayne Dedmon will start but I think I have more interest in Orlando Robinson regardless of his he’s off the bench or not. I’ll cover this entire situation more in my Building Blocks article later today.

Steph Curry

Curry will likely be back tonight if I had to guess, but this will affect all the other starters and also push Jordan Poole back to the bench.

Luka Doncic

I think it’s pretty likely that Luka plays — but if he misses all of Christian Wood, Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr would be viable in all formats once again.

Joel Embiid

Embiid went through shootaround today so I expect him to be back, but if he misses that would once again make James Harden a priority in all formats. Montrezl Harrell would see increased minutes, along with PJ Tucker who also went through shootaround today.

DeAndre Ayton + Landry Shamet

Ayton is certainly a big one, Jock Landale would probably start and be a strong option in all formats while Bismack Biyombo would also come into play. Shamet is also a huge one, with both Booker and Paul already out. If Shamet misses, Duane Washington would start and become a top value option.
