NBA DFS 1/13/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Friday night…

Players Listed As Questionable

The biggest slate of the week falls on Friday with 9 games for us to enjoy and bet on. Luckily, only the Oklahoma City Thunder played last night so that should lessen the amount of later afternoon news we get in regards to injuries to watch. Hopefully, most of the news breaks early afternoon and then I can fully dive into the top plays in my Building Blocks article. For now, I’ll highlight the key situations we are watching and if anything crazy pops up I’ll be in Discord to answer questions. You can hop in the Discord for free here.

Nikola Jokic

Massive news here, that will change the entire slate one way or another. I actually think it’s more likely that he misses than plays as of now, which is obviously huge news to wait on. If he’s out, Jamal Murray, Bones Hyland and Aaron Gordon would all be top plays in all formats and we would likely get some value in whoever starts at center in his place between Jordan and Nnaji.

Kristaps Porzingis + Daniel Gafford

These two missed last game, which boosted Kuzma, Deni Avdija and Taj Gibson. If one plays I would have interest in that one, if they both miss I’m completely fine going back to the well with my boy Deni.

DeAndre Ayton

If he’s out – Biyombo and Landale will fill-in but Saric got a huge price hike and is not really in play anymore.

Anthony Edwards

He was Q to play last game, then ruled out for the game during it then came back in? I’m not sure what’s going on here but if he’s out boosts for Russell and Rudy Gobert for sure.

Isaiah Stewart

Nerlens Noel is still under $4k, so we can look for him to start if Stewart is out.

Demar DeRozan

Obviously big bumps to LaVine and Vucevic — while Caruso will start and Coby White / Pat Williams are in play as well.
