NBA DFS 1/23/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Monday…

Players Listed As Questionable

We have a really nice seven game NBA DFS slate tonight which falls right in the sweet spot in terms of games. There are a few key injuries to watch, but nothing major as of now. Things can always pop up later in the day, and I’ll do my best to highlight the bigger names for now.  I’ll be around to answer any questions throughout the day in Discord. You can join the Discord for free here.

The DFS prices used below are for the daily main slate on OwnersBox Fantasy. If you’ve never checked out OwnersBox Fantasy — CLICK HERE and use Promo Code KARMA for a 100% deposit match up to $500 along with a free $10 DFS contest entry.

Lamelo Ball ($7,00)

This is the biggest news on the slate as of right now. Ball has missed one game after getting injured against the Rockets last week and his absence opens up a ton of usage and shot attempts on this team. Should he miss, every starter sees a significant bump but Terry Rozier and the other guards would be considered top plays.

Rudy Gobert ($6,200)

Gobert has been out over a week, so it seems he is truly Q to play tonight. If he’s out, Naz Reid would continue to start in his place and be an elite mid-tier option while Anthony Edwards and the other starters get a slight ceiling increase.

Killian Hayes ($5,900)

This is sneaky important news as both Jaden Ivey and Alec Burks would become cash game playable with him out of the lineup.

Jabari Smith ($5,200)

This is also important news as we would see Tari Eason step into the starting lineup and become a value option. I’ve been riding Alperen Sengun in both props and DFS the last few weeks, he would become a better play with Smith out as well.

Onyeka Okongwu (4,800)

Frank Kaminsky would likely step into the rotation but the big winners would be John Collins and Clint Capela. I think Collins would be my preferred DFS option.
