NBA DFS 10/22/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Nikola Jokic

Joker actually had a better night than opening day and his price got bumped down! Historically, he has performed extremely well against the Thunder and they really don’t have a body that will be able to stop him. I expect Jamal Murray to play some here but that should honestly just help him out more. In Jokic’s last three matchups against OKC he had at least 22 points and 12 rebounds to go along with 4 or more assists. That doesn’t even include stocks (blocks/steals). This is my main pay up spot regardless of cash or GPP and moving on from here.

De’Aaron Fox

Used him the other night at low ownership and crushed his value. Projecting so far for very low ownership again as the matchup is more difficult against the Clippers. That being said, this offense runs through him. Fox shoots the ball a ton and dishes it out as well. Not to mention he can grab you some boards and steals along the way. Shots need to be falling to hit value but he has the upside of 35+ real life points.  Also jumped on his PRA prop on Prizepicks as well so make sure you check that out as well!

Value Plays

Grant Williams

As i began writing this, Al Horford was ruled out for tonight. They’re alreay without timelord so this is a big blow for Boston. Grant has no choice but to play big minutes tonight now and is 4k on DraftKings and 4.4K on FanDuel.  Willams logged 25 minutes against the Heat the day before and put up 26.3 DK FP’s. He sits a little under a 1 FPPM which is solid value for tonight’s slate. Expect him to be very popular along with other Celtics but for good reason.

Evan Mobley

This one is pretty obvious but only on Draftkings. Mobley is priced at 6.2K and is projected for about 34 FP’s tonight. That is clear cut value there but keep in mind he is most likely going to be matched up with Derozan. Personally, I think he can win that matchup enough and grab boards to either beat or mtach those projections. Chicago hasn’t been great defending big man over the last year and not much has changed since then.
