NBA DFS 10/29/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Zach Lavine

Coming off a night of rest he good and ready for date against Philly. This is a decent spot for him as Philly has been pretty good against guards. In his recent matchups against them though, he has posted over 20 points in 90% of his last ten games.  PJ Tucker is a good defender and odds are he tries to lock up DeMar tonight leaving Zach to command and take control of the offense. The price is jut too low for a guy with 50+ FP upside. I wwant to take advantage of this $7.7K price tag while I can because at some point he will be in the 9K range.

Trae Young

A lot of people including myself, didn’t think the usage would keep up after acquiring Dejounte Murray. Here we are and he is still putting up huge numbers. I like the matchup against the Bucks as he is the main scorer and facililtator for this team. Expect a big game against a very elite opponent. Having Murray alongside him frees him up for more opportunites because you have to show respect and defend Murray. We should see Trae and ABC go back and forth tonight with a higher socring game. Both teams are on back to backs so I am not worried about that..

Value Plays

Christian Wood

I am still mind blown he isn’t the starter. Even with him playing this secondary role he has been elite to say the least. Minus the last game where he just didn’t do much, Wood has put up big numbers in a big way. OKC has let up a ton of points and rebounds to Centers this year so far. Zubac put up a 12/18 line against them and Gobert put up double-doubles as well. There is simply nobody who will be able to defend him in the paint and he is under 8K. The value here is insane with what Christian should be able to do.

Jalen Smith

Myles Turner has been ruled out due to injury management. This leaves the door open for Jalen down ow to be that guy. Smith should be bale to get the better of Claxton and dominate the boards. The big thing here is he is priced as if Turner is playing at 5.4K. That is too low for a guy who has already posted a 47 FP game this year. Expect him to be popular but for good reason. I actually took advantage of one of his props on PrizePicks as well. The only concern here is a blowout but I don’t make lines assuming games will blowout. There is a chance this stays competitive and he crushes his price tag.
