NBA DFS 12/10/22 – Spike’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Day’Ron Sharpe/Brooklyn Nets

This should be a common theme in most lineups. Sharpe in particular is projecting for over 20 times value. Day’Ron has actually been good when given the minutes with stars not on the court and Brooklyn doesn’t have a ton of big men to rotate in. It is very possible for him to get a double-double here as long as he can stay out of foul trouble. It is projected for him to start and to play around 30 minutes. Keep in mind he is bare minimum price across all DFS sites. Don’t overthink this, lock him in and move on. As for others, Edmond Summer is my next favorite followed by Cam Thomas. In cash games, three nets should be in the cards and in GPPS I am thinking two of them.

Damian Lillard

Listen, we are going to have plenty of money to spend up on multiple players tonight. Lillard is projecting for single digit ownership in a tough matchup against the Timberwolves. There is no doubting how high this guys ceiling is. I prefer him over Joker because of blowout potential. I usually don’t build lineups with that in mind and you can honestly use both with the value we have. Portland has an all around good team which means Minnesota shouldn’t be able to double team anyone without paying the price. They also give up a lot of points to scoring guards which is exactly what Dame is. Keep in mind this is a guy with 75 FP upside.

Value Plays

Nickeil Alexander-Walker

The Jazz will be missing at least three of their starters tonight which should bolt NAW up to the starting five. His usage also takes a solid bump up with Conley, Clarkson and Markkanen off the floor. I don’t expect this game to be close whatsoever but NAW is near minimum price and should see a ton fo time regardless of outcome. Currently I have him getting around 35 minutes here and Utah doesn’t really have another good ballhandling guard.

Caris Levert

Once again there will be no Donovan Mitchell. This bodes extremely well for Caris as we saw last night. The Thunder are a pesky team that can hang around ahgainst most teams and without their leading scorer I expect that to happen again. Levert should garner ownership but it is well warranted. On any other team this guy is a starter and he is priced under 5k across all sites.

OwnersBox Play

If you’ve never checked out OwnersBox Fantasy — CLICK HERE and use Promo Code KARMA for a 100% deposit match up to $500 along with a free $10 DFS contest entry. The great thing about OwnersBox is the super-flex format and it allows for some really unique builds without having to force certain positions into your lineups.

Marcus Smart

This should be a very fun game to watch as it is a rematch of last years finals. I lean Smart here because of the chance that GSW try to take away Brown/Tatum. If they attempt this, Marcus should be able to shoot a ton and really isn’t a terrible shooter. Grabs you assists and should be very aggressive defensively against Curry. Smart has averaged about 2 turnovers against Steph historically and could easily turn into more giving him upside. His ownership is low and this is a sneaky/cheeky play for tonights slate!
