NBA DFS 12/21/19- Sriracha’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone? We killed it with the Final Thoughts yesterday, hope to do the same today with Building Blocks. We’ll have Cash, GPP, and Value to look over today. Let’s get right into it.

Core Plays

Andre Drummond-

Drummond will get the Bulls who are 27th worst vs Centers. They give up an insane amount of rebounds and in particular offensive rebounds, so Drummond should feast tonight without Blake Griffin as well. I am going right back to him and expect him to play 36+ minutes tonight and get 20/20. (YES BOLD!!) but it’s not that crazy to think with no Griffin and Wood.

James Harden-

Harden is way too cheap. He has a great matchup, however I am worried about Russ shooting more than normal today. Coming off a huge 40 point game, Russ could come out more aggressive. However, with this matchup, I love Harden, the atmosphere is perfect and he is easily fit with the value today.

Value Plays

Pistons: Markieff Morris/Luke Kennard/Rose/Brown

We are again without Griffin which means that Kennard and Morris will likely both start and shoulder the load at forward, while Brown starts at PG. All of DET is extremely cheap and this matchup with the Bulls who play no defense is even better for them. I like the Pistons stack, I also like that they’re at home. Out of the 4 I mentioned, I would probably go Kennard/Morris in cash, Rose and Brown for tournaments.

George Hill-

Hill has been playing meaningful minutes off the bench for MIL, and they aren’t starting him due to the bench unit being led by Hill. He gets a great matchup in what should be a blowout today, I expect him to get around 24-27 minutes of run. He’s not a high upside guy by any means but his price is very nice and 5x is in reach for sure.

Skal Labiessiere-

Surprise! Skal is here. You might be wondering- Did I miss something? Is Whiteside out? The answer is no. Portland has been playing Skal with Whiteside. Skal played 23 minutes yesterday due to Melo leaving early, and he’s out today. Minnesota doesn’t run big but I like Skal for value especially if Hezonja is also out. Check back for news.

GPP Tournament Plays

Dejounte Murray-

It seems like Pop has finally let that minute restriction fade away, with Murray hitting 31,30,29, and 27 minutes the past 4 out of 5 games. Before that he was averaging under 25 min a game. He faces a pesky Patrick Beverly defense but the fact of the matter is that he accumulates so many peripheral stats that Beverly himself cannot stop. He has averaged more than 2 steals a game the past 7 games which seem to come easily with more minutes. He is priced pretty well for a mid-range play and being at home, I wouldn’t be surprised if they Spurs keep this a close game.

Marvin Bagley-

This dude’s upside is definitely not priced to where he should be. Yes he’s been playing sub 25 minutes up until last game against Indiana. Yes he’s been underwhelming since the return of his injury. But today, he gets a good match-up vs the Grizzlies who play at a pretty fast pace which should be suited for his play style. He has extreme upside at his price and if he gets a few extra minutes, he should be able to exceed his projection. Off the bench he receives high amounts of usage but strictly has been playing the 5 spot, where he’ll go against Memphis’s athletic big in Brandon Clarke. Bagley’s floor in this spot is very high too, which doesn’t hurt you too bad if it happens.
