NBA DFS 2/1/23 | Injuries to Monitor

NBA DFS is widely popular among DFS players, but also one of the most time consuming to research. Players rest and sit-out daily, and this makes accurate minutes projections some of the most valuable information when building lineups. DFS Karma does the work for you in our Projections Portal — with minutes, fantasy points, value and more rates projected out nightly in an easy to read table. You can gain access to the projections by signing up for an NBA premium subscription here. This article will aim to identify some of the important injury situations to monitor throughout the day, and give you an idea of where to go if/when news breaks. Let’s get into Wednesday…

Players Listed As Questionable

Happy Tuesday everyone! We have a small five game slate with limited news to watch for what feels like the first time all season. I’ll highlight the big names to watch and I’ll be around to answer any questions throughout the day in Discord. You can join the Discord for free here.

Joel Embiid

Embiid should be good to go tonight as he continues to build his MVP case in a game against the Orlando Magic. Should he get ruled out, however, look for Montrezl Harrell to be one of the best value plays on the slate along with James Harden becoming a top spend-up. Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey see increased ceiling projections as well.

Rudy Gobert

Like Embiid, I think Gobert will be fine to play in this game but should be miss then Naz Reid would become arguable the top play on the slate. Anthony Edwards would see a higher ceiling projection, as well as D’Angelo Russell and Kyle Anderson.

Wendell Carter

This is pretty big news because we would get some value in the big-men behind him. Moe Wagner and Bol Bol would be the likely candidates for big bumps but you also have Mo Bamba there as well. We would need to see the lineup, but without Carter things would open up in the front-court for Orlando.

Desmond Bane

Once again, Ziaire Williams would start in his place and we would see nice boosts for the remaining starters. Both Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson average close to 1.5 fantasy points per minute without him on the floor and Dillon Brooks would become more viable in the mid-tier.

DETROIT PISTONS GAME

In true NBA fashion, the Pistons plane has yet to depart Dallas and their game vs Washington is at-risk of getting PPD tonight. This will be big news throughout the day, as it will likely eliminate an entire game from the slate.
