NBA DFS 3/11/23 – Spike’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Spike’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Bobby Portis

Personaly think all the starters are in great spots as Giannis was just ruled out minutes ago. Bobby gets a date with the Warriors in Golden State. The Warriors are giving up 25.2 PPG and 12 RPG to power forwards. Portis usually comes out balling when Giannis is on the benches and I don’t see it playing out any differently tonight. Again, we will be locking in mulitple Bucks today but Portis is my first priority. We don’t get too big of a discount on him since Giannis has been out of games left and right since the ASB but is still an ELITE play!

Killian Hayes

Detroit is going to be super short handed tonight. Hayes is 5k on DraftKings and just way mispriced for what he will be doing. Charlotte isn’t terrible against point guards but they have been vulnerable at times to them. Killian sees a huge usage bump without the rest of the starters available as well. This play will not be a secret as he is projected to be the highest owned player on the slate currently but nonetheless, a great play!

.Note: Still waiting on some injury news that has yet to drop so stay tuned in the discord channels to get updated on it!

Value Plays

Christian Wood

Wood is just too cheap right now at a modest 5.4k on DraftKings. Irving is questionable and if he is ruled out for one reason or another, Wood becomes a lock. Memphis is still without Adams and that is a big hole to fill. Not really concerned about a blowout as Memphis has solid depth and shoed it against Golden State the other night. Wood should get fed either way as that is a matchup they should be exploiting all game. Projection portal has him geetting 32 fantasy points with a ceiling of 45. Even just getting the projected 32 puts him over 6x for value and a must play for me.
