NBA DFS 3/7/23 – Ben’s Building Blocks

What’s up everyone and welcome to Ben’s Building Blocks! If you’ve never read my content before, welcome. To those that have, welcome back. I truly appreciate everyone that reads and supports during NBA season. This article is designed for me to highlight the top plays of the day. Obviously, things can change rapidly in the NBA with injury news close to lock, so I would be sure to subscribe to our premium package for access to our Final Thoughts cheat sheet, our premium discord channel and my core plays. Our Core Plays product gives you the ability to tail all of our analysts in your contests each night. We do the work for you, and you simply plug and play with our premium Core Plays. With that being said, let’s hop into the plays…

Building Blocks

Anthony Davis

Davis has been featured as the top play in this article each game without LeBron, and I’m going with him again on Tuesday. This should be a close game – with the game featuring a one point spread and I expect the Lakers to feed Davis again against one of their biggest rival teams. He’s been a monster without James this season — posting over a 32% usage rate and almost 1.6 fantasy points per minute. We have tons of guard value tonight (see below) which makes fitting in Davis a priority. I do think that flipping the build and spending up at guard in GPPs is a smart move, however in my main build I want to feature Davis across all sites.

Marvin Bagley

Bagley was featured in this article yesterday, and responded with 24 DK points in 36 minutes of action. He has a much softer match-up tonight against the Washington Wizards — and will be needed for big minutes again. Detroit is down both Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren tonight, in addition to Bojan Bogdanovic. He’s posted over a full fantasy point per minute since joining the Pistons and I see no reason to avoid him at this price tag. He can be faded in tournaments at high expected ownership – but for cash games I would be plugging him in and moving on. Tari Eason is someone I would consider a strong pivot in tournaments.

Value Plays

Tyus Jones + Jevon Carter

We are gifted two smash value guards tonight due to guys being out — Tyus Jones who will continue to start in place of Ja Morant and then Jevon Carter who will start in place of Jrue Holiday. We know that Jones has continually been a lock with Morant out — yet DK decided to keep him below $5K coming off a monster 60 DK point game on Sunday. We have him graded as one of the top values again on Tuesday – and he is a sure bet to be one of the highest-owned players tonight. This is chalk I’m willing to eat in all formats. As for Carter, he is priced for a back-up role but news broke this morning that the Bucks would be down both Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight. Carter puts up a respectable 22% usage rate with those two players off the court — and he should be locked into cash game lineups alongside Khris Middleton.
