Morant’s seen mixed results for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. He’s averaging 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 7.3 assists (35.9 fantasy points) in 31.4 minutes per game through 43 contests. Morant’s struggling a bit recently, averaging only 31.8 fantasy points in 31.5 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He’s quietly posted 35+ fantasy points in each of his last 3 games, including a 42 fantasy point performance against the New York Knicks.
Morant gets an interesting matchup against the Chicago Bulls tonight. They rank 12th in the NBA in pace and 17th in defensive efficiency this season. Chicago featured one of the worst defenses in the NBA against opposing point guards early in the season, but they’ve performed better in recent weeks. With that being said, they allow the third-most assists per game to point guards in the NBA. Morant’s usage rating generally sits slightly above 25%. He’s a triple-double threat with elite assist potential. He’s likely to find 30+ minutes in this game, as well. Morant certainly comes with risk, but he also boasts an elite ceiling for his current price tag.
