NBA DFS – Spikes GPP Plays (11/28/21)

Another glorious Sunday is upon us! Starting to see some flurries up here in the northeast which is a sign that winter is here.  That being said, we have a smaller set of slates today. Four games on FD and 3 games on DK.  I personally really like the smaller slates and find it a great time to get weird and unique.  A duo of the games is at 6pm EST and then a potential late-night hammer with The Detroit Pistons Vs the Los Angeles Lakers.  This is a GPP article where I will try to stick to those types of plays more than the chalky ones.  Here are some of my favorite plays as of now (keep In mind injury news can change this slate ay any moment and could make some late night plays very low owned).

POINT GUARD

Tyus Jones pops out to me at the moment as a great value play.  Ja Morant doesn’t have a timetable to return (Knee) and Tyus should pick up a good amount of his minutes.  In 20 minutes, last game filling in for him he put up 15 FP, doesn’t sound too appealing but with his price tag being $4800 he doesn’t need a whole lot to hit value.  He should be able to get some decent peripherals as well.  Other plays I am interested in are Cade Cunningham, Davion Mitchell, and Tyrese Haliburton.

SHOOTING GUARD

Malik Monk has quietly been getting hot as of late. His last two games he recorded 33 and 31 FP respectively.  He is more reliant on scoring but can add some peripherals as well.  This game has some potential for a blowout and if that happens, he should still get some run.  Lebron James is questionable and if he sits Monk should see more ownership but becomes an even greater play.  Even with Lebron in, he still is seeing minutes in the mid 20’s which is more than enough to plug him into your lineup. I am also interested in Desmond Bane, John Konchar, and Buddy Hield.

SMALL FORWARD

Jayson Tatum gets an excellent matchup today against the Toronto Raptors as they aren’t very good against Forwards this year.  He has had a couple off games and I believe that should keep his ownership semi moderate tonight. Jaylen Brown is questionable again and could sit just to rest after coming back from an injury, this would only further help Tatum’s chances of a ceiling game.  More or less make him the focal point of the offense.  Tatum on any given night is capable of a double-double and even has potential for a triple-double at times.  Some other players I like here tonight are Talen Horton Tucker, Scottie Barnes, and Dillon Brooks.

POWER FORWARD

Trey Lyles has been quietly putting together some solid performances and gets a great matchup tonight against The Lakers.  Averaging around 20 minute’s his last 3 games and putting up 20, 28, and 17 FP in those.  The Lakers are absolutely atrocious at defense and is something I like to attack whenever given the chance.  Isaiah Stewart being back in doesn’t scare me off of him and makes me think we can get him at sub 20% ownership. Some other intriguing plays are Marvin Bagley, Giannis Antetokounmp (FD), and Jaren Jackson Jr.

CENTER

Anthony Davis has had an interesting season so far.  A bit streaky but for the most part is a vast majority of the offense in Los Angeles.  He gets a solid matchup against Detroit tonight who has nobody that will be able to stop him.  Davis is averaging a double-double so far and comes with plenty of upside with blocks and steals.  He is an elite play tonight and worth the $10800 price tag. Alex Len, Chris Boucher, and Myles Turner (FD) can also be highly considered here.

I hope everyone enjoyed the article and that we have a night that ends it a lot of green for all of us!!
