NBA Injury News

New York Knicks

Alec Burks, Immanuel Quickley, Dennis Smith Jr., Austin Rivers, Obi Toppin  – OUT

Kevin Knox – Probable

The Knicks will be shorthanded once again in the backcourt. They pushed Elfrid Payton to 29 minutes with room to the low 30’s if the game didn’t blow out. Today, they will be missing Alec Burks as well. Elfrid is priced down on Fanduel, he is a strong play in all formats. Obi Toppin being out allowed Julius Randle to approach the upper 30’s in minutes. Julius has one of the higher minutes projections on the slate.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love, Isaac Okoro – OUT

Without Love and Okoro the Cavs are a very interesting DFS target today. This Cavs/Knicks game has a ton of stack appeal. Larry Nance and Andre Drummond are two of the most appealing DFS options today.

Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green – OUT

Draymond Green will miss today’s game. He is back at practice so he is close to returning to action. It is tough to trust this Warriors team outside of Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins. Steph has been a very good fantasy asset while having some terrible shooting performances. The Warriors have a top 5 team total on today’s slate so Curry is always an intriguing high price spend.

Detroit Pistons (Back End of B2B)

Jahlil Okafor – OUT

Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose will return to the rotation tonight for the Pistons. They become a lot less appealing when they are all healthy. Okafor out would allow Mason Plumlee to play into the low 30’s. Blake Griffin is an appealing tournament target.

Boston Celtics (Front End of B2B)

Clean injury report outside of Kemba Walker. They are running a deep rotation outside of the obvious studs. Not the best overall fantasy environment.

Indiana Pacers

Victor Oladipo is returning to action tonight. Players like TJ Warren and Doug McDermott are priced down, but with Oladipo returning this is probably a stay away for me.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors will try and deploy Alen Len to stop Joel Embid ……good luck. Chris Boucher will lose center minutes in this matchup, the hope is to get him some playing time at the 4.

Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embid – Probable

Furkan Korkmaz- OUT

Embid is expected back today after missing a B2B on Sunday. His individual matchup is easy, but the game environment isn’t great.

Chicago Bulls

Lauri Markkanen – Q

Thaddeus Young – P

Lauri Markkanen is an injury to monitor. It is a bit of a difficult situation to decipher because Thad Young is expected to return. Bulls/Wizards is a great game environment to target.

Washington Wizards

Rui Hachimura – OUT

Rui will miss today’s game once again. The Wizards are still monitoring Davis Bertans minutes even with Rui out. Thomas Bryant’s C minutes are secure with his only competition for minutes being Robin Lopez.

Milwaukee Bucks (Front End of B2B)

Nothing exciting for the Bucks. We just want to monitor them since they are on a B2B. Look for them to want to show up against a Heat team that eliminated them from the playoffs last year.

Miami Heat (Front End of B2B)

Jimmy ButlerOUT

Heat will be without Jimmy Butler tonight. The hope is that this is a one-game absence and they’re proceeding with caution since they are on a B2B. Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro take on a lot of the ball-handling role with Butler missing. Herro is particularly interesting on Fanduel where he is 4.5k and SF eligible. Fanduel asleep at the wheel with pricing, no surprise.

Orlando Magic

James Ennis – OUT

Nothing interesting on the Magic injury report. Aaron Gordon’s minute limit is still something to monitor.

Oklahoma City Thunder (Back End of B2B)

George Hill- Q

Al Horford – OUT

There are some rumblings that the Thunder will rest players today. It would make sense that they would want to preserve their veterans Hill and Horford. They want to keep them healthy so that they can flip them at the deadline. S/O Presti.

New Orleans Pelicans

Nothing on the report for the Pelicans. The one impactful note is just that Eric Bledsoe has been awful, but he is a buy-low candidate.

Phoenix Suns

Dario Saric – Probable

Jalen Smith – OUT

Saric will return for the Suns and soak up some backup minutes at the 5. Interesting low owned game stack appealing with this game.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Okogie – OUT

With Towns sitting, Naz Reid will an attractive DFS target. Reid will be backed up by Ed Davis who is a great point per minute producer. With Okogie out, Jared Culver and Anthony Edwards will take on a lot of that role at the 3.

LA Clippers (Front End of B2B)

Marcus Morris – OUT

Kawhi Leonard – Q

Kawhi has a good shot to play in this spot. You’d think he would want to be out there after how embarrassing their loss to the Mavs was. If Kawhi was unable to go, Paul George would be in an elite spot and a must play in all DFS formats.

Denver Nuggets (Back End of B2B)

Monitor Nuggets on B2B

The Nuggets may rest some guys here. They have played a lot to start the year. I think the most likely candidates are Will Barton and Paul Milsap. Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray remain underpriced and elite tournament plays.

Sacramento Kings

Nothing for the Kings today. Think this game has a lot of stack appeal.
